Clean and Clear Oil – Free Moisturizer is a Winter Must-Have For All Oily-Skinned Beauties

Clean and Clear Oil – Free Moisturizer

By Spandana Rao

Hello Lovelies,

I’m back with another review. Today it is the Clean and Clear Oil-Free Moisturizer.

I was looking for a new moisturizer to try this winter and I stumbled upon this at the store and since I have oily and acne prone skin, I thought this would be the moisturizer to try. Also I had very dry skin around my eyes and nose which made me realize that ignoring moisturizer is a big no no, even if you have oily skin.

Clean+and+Clear+Oil+Free+Moisturizer

Price: Rs.80 for 100ml.

Product Details:

Clean and Clear Oil-Free Moisturizer 1

Claims:

  • Clean & Clear Skin Balancing Moisturiser has an oil-free formula that moisturizes without greasiness and does not clog pores
  • Salicylic acid helps prevent pimples and blackheads

Directions: Apply evenly on face and neck. Use twice daily for skin that’s clean, clear and beautiful.

My Experience with Clean and Clear Oil-Free Moisturizer:

The packaging is very travel friendly, it’s a white plastic (translucent) bottle with a blue cap, which can be opened with either the flip cap or by rotating the whole blue cap off the bottle. The content itself is an almost sheer white cream and you get the right amount dispensed with the help of the nozzle. The nozzle keeps the usage of the product to a minimum reducing wastage. The product inside is not very runny which is apt for a moisturizer, at the same time, the product spreads easily across your face.

When I first got this product and started using it, I didn’t really find any difference in the dryness of the areas around my eyes and nose, but this was just after one or two applications, which I don’t think is enough for a product to work its miracle. I though it’s a waste of money and was just about to give up, when I realized I don’t have any other moisturizer to use on daily basis to college, so I continued to use this and within a week my skin was back to normal, no cracks or flakes around my eyes and nose. I was so glad I continued to use this.

I would use about a coin size amount in the beginning since I thought my skin needed all the moisture I could provide it with, but eventually I reduced the amount to a pea size amount and I am more than happy with this.

I include this in my daily CTM routine, I use the Clean and Clear Foaming Face Wash with rose water as my toner and then this for the moisturizer and my skin is happier than ever.

I am not sure how this would work during summers, but this doesn’t make my skin too oily during the day. If in case it does, I just wipe off the oil using a tissue/blotting paper.

  1. nice review….. but i have a confusion
i have normal skin which turns into dry during winters and think i have used something like this but it was named as skin balancing oil free moisturiser or something like that…..
are both the variants same or is this only me who is getting confused????

And please suggest a good moisturiser for my skin type.

    1. Heyy… I haven’t tried the skin balancing moisturizer before, but if I can get my hand on it. I would certainly try it and get back to you. Or someone who has used both could help us out. 🙂

Coming yo a moisturizer for your skin type, you could search for it in the search bar at the top of this page. I’m sure you’ll find an article which would help yo . 🙂

  2. Been using this in the summers and it’s great for then, not now in winters it makes my skin so dry and parched. Need something hydrating. But definitely a keeper for the summers. 🙂

  3. I have used this moisturiser.I have a combination skin and its a good one plus its pocket friendly but I feel its not very moisturising for extreme winters. Neutrogena oil free moisture is much better than this one but thats a little expensive.

  4. Hey Spandana,

I loved your review! This moisturiser was hidden away in my wardrobe for almost a year until I re-discovered it and oh my god, this has been my holy-grail moisturiser for winter!

It completely cleared up my dry skin, it doesn’t give me excess oil problems and the texture is just so silky and smooth. You wouldn’t expect this from a drug store brand to be fair, but I have sensitive skin so maybe that proves I need less chemicals!

    Have a great Monday! 🙂

    x
