Clean and Dry Intimate Wash Review

Hello Ladies,

Today, I am reviewing Clean and Dry Intimate Wash – PH Balanced. This is for Feminine Hygiene. After my marriage (two years back), I got UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) very badly. Then, I saw a gynaecologist in a private hospital.  They treated me well with a course of medicine. During the course, she advised me to wash the vaginal area with feminine wash (Lactacyd) to avoid further infection and to avoid any odor due to heavy antibiotics. Since then, I am using Lactacyd and happy with it.

One day (around 1½ or 2 months ago), I saw an advertisement on TV of Clean and Dry Intimate Wash.  Earlier, I had seen the advertisement of Clean and Dry cream. I seriously don’t believe in such gimmicks.  It was weird what they were showing in the advertisement.  The wash will lighten the shade of your private parts.  The advertisement is seriously embarrassing for women.  Okay, one day, I bought it from the local chemist’s shop and I will share my experience with you.

Packaging:

Comes in a white bottle with a pink flip top.

Price:

Rs. 100 for 100 ml.

Shelf Life:

3 Years.

Color and Texture:

Transparent white in color with runny texture.

Ingredients:

Clean Dry Intimate Wash

How To Use:

You can use it on a daily basis, twice a day, either when taking a bath or in between.  You can also use it as often as you want to keep you fresh and protected.

Product Description:

The wash is PH balanced to clean and protect your vaginal area. It helps in lightening skin color, keeps you fresh and confident all day.

My Experience with Clean and Dry Intimate Wash:

For me, the two important ingredients that should be present in a feminine wash are Lactoserum and Lactic Acid.  I have read about the importance of these two compounds in magazines and on a few websites.  The benefits of those two ingredients are:-

Lactoserum is a natural ingredient refined from milk. It is used to stabilize and maintain the vagina’s natural levels.

Lactic acid is also called “milk” acid. This syrupy, water-soluble liquid is very important in the vagina’s self-defense cycle where it works to keep the vagina’s natural environment at its perfect balance. Through this, the good and bad bacteria present in the vagina are each kept at their right levels or production making the intimate area safe from all kinds of infection. Lactic acid is produced by the good bacteria lactobacilli, whose growth is in turn also facilitated by lactic acid.

First of all, I want to tell you that it does not lighten the vaginal area, so don’t expect anything of that sort. As it has menthol and aloe vera gel, you will get a fresh and cool feeling and glycerine, which I like the most.  It keeps the area free of odour.  It is a good product for women who are facing any vaginal odor problem and good for use during periods. The ingredients present in the wash are supposed to clean and protect the vaginal area from bacteria, but it does not have Lactoserum and Lactic Acid. It is a safe wash and I do not feel any irritation/allergy after using it.

Pros of Clean and Dry Intimate Wash:

  • It has a very mild floral fragrance.
  • Does not cause any irritation (I have sensitive skin).
  • It refreshes the vaginal area.
  • Long shelf life of 3 years.
  • Affordable with 100 ml at Rs. 100
  • Travel friendly packaging.
  • Lathers well.
  • Good for summer.
  • Very easily available at chemist shops.

Cons of Clean and Dry Intimate Wash:

  • Does not contain Lactoserum and Lactic Acid.
  • I do not like the way the company is advertising the product.
  • Do not like the cap as it is detachable, sometimes it is difficult to open/close.

Would I Repurchase Clean and Dry Intimate Wash?

I will buy it again, but in summers only.  For daily routine cleansing, I am happy with my primary feminine wash, which has the main ingredients (required to keep the vagina hygienic and bacteria free). Pregnant ladies or those who are trying to conceive, please consult with your gynaecologist before using this intimate wash.

  1. the advertisements stupid.i just saw this at a chemist yestrday.dint pick.am off all cleansers for mister VJ post an infection.it is just luke warm water and sometimes dettol diluted now.

  2. Best best way to clean the private part is luke warm water but sometimes, if you are on heavy medicine course, can use these types of intimate wash (I will personally recommend Lactacyd) to keep away the odor problem.

  3. Hello Ladies
Thank you very much for this post. Is Lactacyd banned in India? Is it easily available in chemist shops in Bangalore?

  4. i have tried feminine intimate washes from different companies before and found this 1 to be very effective , personally the add didn’t seem to intimidate me at all , so MANNNNY adds in our country is something related to promoting fairness 😐 example ponds’ tagline is – spotless is perfect 😐 like yaa right 😐 !!! shudnt we be used to this by now ?

  5. An okay type of intimate wash. I would rather go for lactacyd as my to go intimate wash. V-wash plus is also another option to go for.
