My Experience with Clear Scalp and Hair Therapy Total Care Nourishing Shampoo:

Packaging : Most of the Clear products come in similar packaging which is a long lavender colored bottle.  I have already used and reviewed the Clear Nourishing Dry Hair Shampoo, which also had the exact same packaging as of this Clear Total Care shampoo. So, it is quite possible to be confused when buying this product in the supermarket. I think Clear should have tried to differentiate their product by putting them in at least different colored packaging which is done by most other companies.

It comes with a push top cap which opens up this small hole which disperses just the right flow of the shampoo so you are not accidentally pouring out more product than you need. Also, the bottle is very sturdy and can withstand a lot of falls which can happen a lot with soapy hands.

Consistency:  The shampoo is a light lavender color, just same as that of the bottle and has light specks of glitter in it. The glitters have absolutely no use apart from giving the shampoo a prettier appearance. The consistency of the shampoo is quite thick.

Fragrance: It has a light fruity citrusy scent which is very pleasing.

Cleansing Properties:  The shampoo lathers quite well and not a lot of product is needed in a single use. The lathering may be due to the so called “harsh detergent” sulfates present which are present in most shampoos but whose presence is not acceptable by certain people.

Effect on hair:  Hair does feel smooth and silky after use, it also contains silicones which sometimes makes the hair greasy and cause buildup over time. It has little to no effect in controlling dandruff. My hair quality hasn’t improved drastically since I have started to use this, but it also has not adversely affected my hair. It does not cause my hair to fall off or make my hair fragile in any way.

Overall, a decent and affordable product worth a try. It is available everywhere from Wal-Mart, Target, Walgreens and even online.’
