Clinique Almost Powder Makeup SPF 15 Review

Skin/Hair Type: Oily and occasionally acne-prone / Normal Hair
Skin Tone: Fair with warm undertones

Hello gorgeous ladies,

I was on the hunt for a pressed powder with SPF in it because ideally sunscreen must be re-applied after every two hours, but it’s not practically possible for me as I generally wear makeup. So, I wanted something to touch up with SPF for that added sun protection. That’s when I came across this baby and grabbed it immediately. I am talking about the Clinique Almost Powder Makeup SPF 15 in the shade “04 Neutral.” So, let’s get started:

My Experience with Clinique Almost Powder Makeup SPF 15:

Packaging: I must applaud Clinique for their awesome packaging. It’s a well-built trap for packaging suckers like me! This compact comes in a standard Clinique style cardboard paper box which has all the details of the product and the brand name mentioned on it.
Packaging

The actual product is a gorgeous square compact with the outer packaging that looks and feels like green-colored marble finish. The powder pan is placed in the compact which also has a protective lid, a brush and a mirror. The lid shuts securely and is by no means “flimsy.” This baby makes you feel good about your purchase. A+ for packaging!

Color:  The shade that I picked up is “04 Neutral” as it does suit my complexion best. I would say the shade “Beige is close to MAC NC 35, if that helps. I hate to use compact powders that are lighter than my skin tone as they look really ashy and unflattering.

Pigmentation and Texture: The pigmentation is quite commendable. It’s as pigmented as a powder foundation, which I really like. If you do not have major skin issues, you can just apply concealer and top it off with this powder and you are good to go! The texture of the compact is very finely milled and is extremely smooth on application.

Longevity: The staying power is approximately 4 to 5 hours and the wear time extends when applied over foundation or primer and set with a setting spray. If you have super oily skin, you may need to touch up after 3 pm, but that’s it! I only use this baby to touch up my face for extending my sun protection and it serves its purpose really well!

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Clinique Almost Powder Makeup SPF 15?
I would say the quality of this compact powder is between the MAC Studio Fix and any other average drugstore powder. It is a good option for everyday wear. As the price is not extremely high, it is not that hard on the wallet. I would not repurchase this, but I sure can recommend to try it out once if you need to take care of your skin by using a good quality powder with SPF in it.
