My Experience with Clinique Baby Kiss Long Last Lipstick :

I got this one along with Twilight N*de. Both of them are basically different versions of n*de colors; differing from each other because of the undertones. While Twilight N*de has berry undertones, this one has soft peachy touch to it. Sadly, this one got neglected too, but once I started wearing it, I was hooked on to it. This is such a pretty color, I regret not using it before.
Let us get know this one.

Shade – Clinique describes it as creamy pink n*de with a hint of pearly shimmer. I find it to be more on peachy or coral side. The shimmer is extremely subtle and makes the color look really pretty instead of just falling flat. In fact I think it is because of the shimmer only, that this color will suit an array of skin tones.

Texture The texture is like the rest of Clinique Long Last Lipsticks creamy, smooth, very light; feels feathery on lips. It glides on effortlessly without pulling. It does not dry out lips. But, it is better to apply a lip balm if you have very dry lips.

Coverage is moderate. Depending on the pigmentation on your lips this will look like soft peach or coral or even pink in some cases.

Pigmentation  – Since I have pigmented lips, the actual color comes lighter on me than that on the bullet. One swipe deposits about 80% of the color so it can be built up only a little more than that. On my pigmented lips, I need two swipes to bring the shade I want.

Staying power – Nothing extraordinary about the lasting power and since this is not a deep shade, staying power is just average. It doesn’t fade with a stain or tint, it just vanishes (bad, I know, right). The good thing however is that when it fades, you don’t have to worry about the shimmer because there isn’t any left behind, so there I have my money value!

This will look different on different skin tones. Like Twilight N*de this could be a perfect shade if you are looking for something subtle or barely there lip color for office. It is so versatile that it can blend with any dress, as this tilts towards n*de so it can always be used when you want attention to your eyes or to your dress. I personally use it when I am wearing a blue dress with a light peach or rose blush and I want to keep the rest of the look normal. Other than that, it is totally good for office use too. I think those who are scared to give n*de lip colors a try should invest in this one, this is easier to carry.
