This time of the year is the festive season for makeup brands and makeup lovers. There will be a lot of spring launches. Makeup lovers like me will be in trouble deciding what to pick and what to leave. I am going to share with you all one such Spring 2014 launch by Clinique – the super cute Cheek Pop Blush in Berry Pop.
Vibrant yet natural-looking cheek colour that looks virtually powderless. In a silky smooth, stay-true formula with shades for every skin tone. That just-pinched look, simply effortless.
My Take on Clinique Cheek Pop Blush – Berry Pop:
Clinique has released these blushes in 4 color groups, one shade per group:
- Nudes – Ginger Pop.
- Reds/Tawny – Peach Pop.
- Pinks – Berry Pop.
- Violets – Plum Pop.
I picked the Berry Pop out of all 4 shades. Check out how this blush performs under each category.
I don’t have to say a word about the packaging. By now, you might drooling at the super cute, daisy embossed design of this blush 😛
This is a vibrant cool pink shade. It is a matte shade and there is no shimmer in it. I had a tough time choosing one shade from all four. Especially there was a tie between Ginger Pop and Berry Pop. Finally, Berry Pop won my heart 😛
This is a powder blush, but is not powdery at all. The texture is almost like a cream blush. There is absolutely no fall out when we swirl the brush over this product. The product is so tightly packed that the daisy embossing would stay put even after 100 uses.
Though this blush is super pigmented, it is totally buildable. One can wear it sheer or build the color to what we see in the pan. It can give a very natural and flushed look to dramatic and vibrant look if that is what you like.
At first, I used the Sigma Blush brush to apply this blush. The brush did not pick enough product as the bristles were not densely packed. I had to swirl and swirl the brush over the product to get the desired color on one cheek. Then, I tried to use my ELF small stipple brush and it worked like a dream. It picked the right amount of product and blends like dream.
I wear this blush sheer, so it stays on me for 5-6 hours. If I build the color a little more, the longevity can be improved. This is definitely a long wear blush.
Pros of Clinique Cheek Pop Blush – Berry Pop:
- Super cute daisy embossment.
- Awesome vibrant pink shade.
- Unique texture.
- Absolutely no fall out.
- Blends like a dream.
- Amazing pigmentation, color is super buildable.
- Stays for 5-6 hours on me.
- Reasonably priced.
Cons of Clinique Cheek Pop Blush – Berry Pop:
- Absolutely no cons for this product, just use the right brush and you will love it.
This is an awesome blush, which can give you awesome flush of color without effort and the good thing is the price. I feel it’s been priced reasonably for the way it performs and looks. I would definitely recommend this to all and I’m going to pick at least one more shade from this line.
