Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm
By Anisha S.
There are lip balms and then there is Clinique’s Chubby Stick. If you are a lip balm fanatic like me, you must have tried all that you could get your hands on, but after using Clinique’s Chubby, you will be hooked for life. This was the only piece of make up that I carried on my trip to Goa other than my kohl and it stood by me like a loyal best friend. Here’s a picture of my two chubbies, one has been used extensively and the other is waiting in line 😛

I love all of Clinique’s products, but this cute, almost crayon-looking lip balm has something extra special. It is packed with the goodness of mango and shea butters which guarantee long-lasting nourishment. The chubby stick (I absolutely love the name) comes in 16 natural-looking shades that give just the right amount of tint. You can either use the lip balm by itself or as a base for lipstick, as I often like to do. If you use lipsticks, you know how they eventually dry out your lips, but this adorable little product will always keep your lips moisturized. I can bet that once you buy this lip balm, it will have a permanent place in your purse.
This super moisturizing lip balm will set you back by $16 and is worth every penny, but luckily for me, I received it as a free gift with some Clinique products I bought.

The balm glides on very smoothly on your lips and never needs sharpening; all you need to do is to swivel up to reveal more lip balm colour. This is a shot of the lip balm swivelled up completely.
My Experience with Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm:
Well girls, the chubby stick is super fun. Unlike other lip balms, it isn’t waxy, which means that it works well for the sticky summer months as well and it comes in handy whenever I don’t want to fuss over makeup. Super Strawberry is a fresh pink which works with any complexion (something that very few pink shades can do). Mega Melon has micro shine particles that add an extra oomph. Both the shades I own have more colour than your average lip balm, yet they give a very natural look. The chubby is the perfect balance between a lipstick and a lip balm. I do hear that the shade Voluptuous Violet is quite deceptive and has no colour, so beware!
What I Love about Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm:
- Perfect makeup for my summer look and perfect lip balm to take care of my winter dryness.
- Just the right amount of sheen and colour.
- Super hydrating and keeps my lips kiss ready :-*
What I Do Not Like about Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm:
- Nothing!!
Would I Buy Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm Again?
Yes, yes, yes. I already have one in stock 😉 and I think it’s the perfect gift for all your darling girlfriends. Take my word for it, they will love you for it.
PS: I am using the colours Super Strawberry and Mega Melon and they are both super versatile. (Don’t let the name fool you, they have no irritating flavour).
