It’s gentle enough for year-round use. Works on past acne marks, too.

My Experience with Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector:

I was so excited to get my hands on this product for Clinique is an amazing brand for troubled skin. My skin used to be flawless and didn’t have any marks or spots until a few months ago. But, then I developed some hormonal issues and started getting breakouts. As a result, I have some spots on my face, along with uneven skin tone. Packaging wise, the product looks classy, but then nothing extraordinary since even Kaya Skin Clinic offers the same packaging. There is a sleek bottle with a transparent cap and pump dispenser. I would not say that it’s the most functional packaging since it’s difficult to take the product out after a while through this pump. The outer cardboard and this bottle bear a whole lot of information about the product.

This spot corrector is basically a serum, and we all know how to use a serum. Right? Also, on the booklet, they have mentioned to gently exfoliate the skin before using it. It is a yellowish liquid and the consistency is so right. It spreads very well on the face and feels kind of powdery, if that’s the right way to describe it. My skin is prone to getting dry and it never made it feel stretchy or dry. It kept it well moisturised and in fact, on various instances, I went without a moisturiser and it felt just right. I just need 2-3 pumps of the product to cover my face and neck area.

I have been using this serum every single day, two times for over 5 weeks now, and let me put it straight, it has done NOTHING for me skin! The bottle still has some product left and I think it will always have since I have lost all the interest in it. I mean, I have minor marks that were caused due to facial waxing (acne marks are deeper, I am assuming), and some spots and this “Prescription-strength serum” did NOTHING to them. As per the claims, my dark spots were supposed to become 1-2 shades lighter by now, but they have not. I wanted to use it for 12 weeks, but I guess, I do not have the patience and faith in this product to do so.

I am feeling so proud of myself that this review will help a lot of women who are thinking of trying this product to fade their acne marks or spots. Do not get this serum, ladies. It will not do a thing! I later stumbled upon reviews on Clinique’s official website and I was not surprised to see so many negative reviews. It even made some women’s skin problematic. Just stay away! #EnoughSaid

Cons of Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector:

• I could not see an iota of difference on my dark spots or blemishes
• Expensive because it does not work at all
• False claims
• Packaging looks classy, but doesn’t dispense sufficient product after 3 weeks point

IMBB Rating:
1/5

Conclusion:
This serum proved to be a failure for my skin even though my skin isn’t really problematic and I do not have acne scars. I am not trying to defame the brand, it sure has a lot of great products, just that this one failed to cut through. It is one good-for-nothing product that does not deserve either our money or our attention.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector?
I would never repurchase it. Never! But, I will make people who have done bad things to me, and who do not refer to IMBB for reviews buy it! 😛

  1. This sounds terrible and it isn’t cheap either! 🙁 VLCC’s depigmentation serum worked so well on my dark spots and it was 1/10th of this one’s price!
