Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturizer With SPF 15 Review

Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturizer With SPF 15

Hey IMBB Gang,

I got this Clinique Moisture Surge in last week of July I guess and have been using it since. Yes yes, I also agree it is highly priced at Rs. 1600/- (:o), but I was looking for a nice foundation since a long time, but I would always look fake or flashed out because of the nice coverage. Then, I read somewhere about the product and that it is a tinted moisturizer and it serves everything that the product says.

By the way, I took the pictures during my recent trip to Kerala, which was totally awesome.

What I Loved About the Product:

It serves as a mosturizer with SPF 15 🙂 and yes I did not get tanned during my trip, thanks to it (thumbs up). It’s tinted and that is the major reason I bought it obviously. When you are traveling with people and a whole lot of traveling, well you want to look as natural as possible and well I am not those ones who are so great at acheving that perfect look with the foundation, so well I loved it. It is very light and you need a very small quantity for coverage.

It is available in about 4 to 5 different shades depending on your skin tone, which I loved because one cannot find such a range in foundations also. When applied, it is super light and gives a nice glow to the face with a hint of peach/pink shade. It is allergy tested:), a major thing for people with very sensitive skin such as mine, it is 100% fragrance free. It has those components that even during flash photography, one doesn’t look washed out.

What I Did Not Like About the Product:

Though its prime criteria is being a moisturizer, well it’s okay in that department. Personally, I like the moist feeling when you apply Vaseline or any other moisturizers. Well, this definitely feels like a moisturizer, but not as great as other. As far as the coverage goes, its nice, but you need to be careful to choose the right shade and the price, its too much for 30 ml.

Can you see the slight pinkish/peach shade towards the thumb, this is the kind of coverage one would get. My hands are lighter than my face, so it might look a bit different, but for my face, the colour is just perfect. So, I would say, before buying, go to the Clinique Store and see a trial and what shade is perfect for you, but as a product, I really like it and I hope it gets a bit cheaper or they should soon have a discount (bhagwanji sunlo) .

Final Verdict:

1- It’s a moisturizer that’s tinted.
2- It has spf 15 (wooohooooooo).
3- Allergy tested.
4- 100% fragrance free.
5- It gives a beautiful glow to the skin and a nice sheer coverage.
6- The packaging is great, it has a nozzle and a lock cover.
7- Don’t be under the impression that it would cover your blemish or dark spots completely.
8- It is highly priced at Rs. 1600/-.
9- I don’t think it is easily available everywhere in India.

Will I Buy it Again?

Hmmm, I don’t mind spending again because it is great for the moisture quality and the tint, but yeah, I am definitely looking out for other products that are a bit light on the pocket, so as long as I can find something better, I hope this bottle would last until that time;)

Rating:

3.5 (-.5 for the cost, .5 for the availability and .5 for the not-so-great moisture feeling).
