Clinique offers a lipstick which combines the features of a lip colour and benefit of primer in one product – sounds intriguing, right? Now, what’s a lip primer? Of course, something that offers smooth and even application, that is a category various other creamy lipsticks fall into, so what is so special about Clinique Lip Colour + Primer Pop. In this post, I would be reviewing the shade “10 Punch Pop.” Two shades from this range – “Cola Pop” and “Grape Pop” have been previously reviewed on IMBB.

My Experience with Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer 10 Punch Pop:
“Punch Pop” comes in a tube packaging which is corresponding to the colour of the lipstick itself and that makes it easier to find in your makeup stash. The cap is of silver colour with the Clinique logo printed on it. The name of the lipstick is printed at the bottom of the tube.
The color payoff of Punch Pop is just insane. It’s a highly, highly pigmented lipstick. You just need one single swipe to cover up your lips entirely, isn’t that amazing? This lipstick doesn’t accentuate my dry patches. I struggle with dry lips all the time and always have to use a lip balm before I apply any lipstick, but with Clinique Pop lip color, I don’t have to because it feels so hydrating on the lips that you don’t need a lip balm.
The shade “Punch Pop” is a deep pink shade and I think it will look flattering on all skin tones. When it comes to consistency of the lipstick, as I have mentioned previously, it’s very moisturizing. I totally understand why they have mentioned “primer,” this lipstick literally glides over my lips like I have applied a primer underneath.
This lipstick has a creamy finish, but the only downside with such a texture is that the wear time is only 2 to 3 hours, but it does leave a stain behind. It feels very comfortable on the lips and did I mention that this is a perfect product for people who don’t prefer fragrance in their lip products. Yes, it’s fragrance free!
