Clinique Soft-Pressed Powder Blush Compact Kit

Clinique Soft Pressed Powder Blush Compact Kit with Eyeshadow Duo and Bronzer

Hi, this is my first ever review for IMBB, so I hope you all like it!!

I’m going to be reviewing the Clinique Soft-Pressed Powder Blush Compact Kit with Eye-shadow Duo and Bronzer. I received this as a gift from my aunt in the States. Clinique is one of the brands I really admire because I’m fond of products that are allergy-free or natural.

Clinique Soft Pressed Powder Blush Compact Kit with Eyeshadow Duo and Bronzer

The kit comes in a white square box with a mirror compact inside, and the word ‘CLINIQUE’ is written on the top. The packaging is neat and the box closes and opens easily, but it’s built so that the contents stay tightly locked inside.

Price:

Rs. 483.

Total Quantity/Weight:

0.1 kg.

Inside, there’s a True Bronze Pressed Powder Bronzer in Sunkissed (0.06 oz), Colour Surge Eye Shadow Duo in Rose Wine (0.01 oz each), and a Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher in Pink Blush (0.06 oz).

Finally, here’s how it looks on my skin tone; from extreme left, the two eye-shadows, next the bronzer and lastly on the extreme right of my hand is the blusher.

My Take on Clinique Soft-Pressed Powder Blush Compact Kit with Eyeshadow Duo and Bronzer:

The packaging is well done so that the mirror comes in handy for a quick touch-up. I don’t like carrying too many things in my handbag because then it ends up weighing a ton, so this kit is perfect because it has all three in one – blusher, bronzer and eye shadow. The colours are rich and go well with my skin tone.

What I Like about Clinique Soft-Pressed Powder Blush Compact Kit with Eyeshadow Duo and Bronzer:

• As I mentioned before, the packaging is perfect and the mirror isn’t too big or too small, which makes it very handy to carry and use for touch-ups.
• The choice of shades; all of them complement each other, so I can use all of them for creating a single makeup look.
• The colour shades are just right, not too loud, and not too light or dull either.
• Reasonably priced for the quantity provided.
• The feel of the product is both fine and creamy, which is great for a better colour to show up.

What I Dislike about Clinique Soft-Pressed Powder Blush Compact Kit with Eyeshadow Duo and Bronzer:

• There’s no applicator provided with the product; it is surprising because that’s a staple feature of any decent blusher/bronzer kit and Clinique is certainly a well-established brand, so it should know better.
• The consistency can seem too fine, so a lot doesn’t come up when I use a brush and that can get annoying.
• The bronzer is barely noticeable on application, bronzer should be subtle, but this one doesn’t even show up properly.

Would I Repurchase?

I may, I may not. In the first place, I received this as a gift, but I wouldn’t go all out especially to buy it per se because it doesn’t offer me anything very special except that it’s convenient to use. It’s like any other bronzer/blusher kit that way, but I do recommend it as a decent buy for those who’d like to try allergy-free blushers and have a very basic, compact kit.

Final IMBB rating: 3.5/5.

  1. Hi Nandini, nice review!! good shades too! but clinique products are not natural or herbal, they are considered as allopathic formulations in the states… 😐 😐

  2. nandini, clinique always does these soft soft colors no only. do they have another palette in the collection? may be the bronzer is made for people with very fair skin tone ?:) ?:) I like the product as a whole, nice and compact but brush toh pakka hona banta hai :methinks:

    1. Thanks guys!
Yeah, I’m guessing it was made keeping firangi complexions in mind 😛 I think this is a sort of limited edition or rarely available thing because I looked in the malls in Delhi and Bangalore but couldn’t find it in the Clinique stores :/ But the blush would look good on medium to fair skin tone. Brush bhi milta toh I would’ve been really happy.
