My Experience with Clinique Superbalanced Silk Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15:

Clinique Superbalanced Silk Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 comes in the green signature Clinique packaging with every small and big detail printed on it. The foundation is sold in a frosted glass bottle without a pump. It is a liquid foundation and I would have really appreciated a pump with it, but seems like Clinique is saving on it. You have to dispense the product from the bottle, which isn’t tricky, but might get messy and unhygienic at times. I prefer to use my left palm as a platform for the foundation. The bottle is a bit heavy but travel-friendly.

Clinique Superbalanced Silk Makeup SPF-15 is a liquid foundation and the consistency is fluid. Rightly named as Silk foundation, it feels and sets like silk. It is easily blendable without any streaking and it does not cling to dry patches either. The finish is dewy and best for dry skin or winter season. I wonder how Clinique has declared it suitable for oily and oily-combination skin types. I feel this one is more appropriate for dry and dry-combination skin types, because even with average moisturization, it sets flawlessly and doesn’t enhance dry patches.

Clinique Superbalanced Silk Makeup comes with SPF 15, which is below the minimum daily requirements of sunscreen. So, you will need some extra while stepping out, but then it doesn’t reflect much of whitish cast in photographs. Dermatologically tested, it doesn’t trigger acne and doesn’t accentuate pores as well. However, I feel it oxidises slightly and also settles a bit into my laugh lines after a couple of hours.

Talking about the coverage, it gives sheer to medium coverage. One coat is for sheer and you can add another layer without looking cakey for a medium coverage. I grab a concealer for my sun spots and marks because Clinique Superbalanced Silk Makeup blurs them but they keep peeking through! The best part is that Clinique Superbalanced Silk Makeup is extremely comfortable to wear and feels like silk. It is a hydrating foundation that gives ample time to blend.

Clinique claims that it controls oil and hydrates dry areas. The wear time is approximately 6 hours without any primer. Clinique Superbalanced Silk Makeup offers you an impressive array of shades. My usual match in Clinique is Ivory but I was confused to see newer shades in this range and unfortunately ended up picking one tone lighter. I should have opted for Silk Sahara though Silk Bisque works fine with custom drops.
