My Experience with Clinique Take The Day off Micellar Cleansing Towelettes for Face & Eyes
These Clinique wipes come packed in this lovely lavender packet. They have kept the color in sync with the the rest of their ‘Take The Day Off‘ range. There is a sturdy plastic cover on top that closes tight and prevents the wipes from drying out. The idea behind these wipes is that you don’t have to use a separate micellar water along with cotton to remove the makeup, you can use this wipe to remove all your makeup. I have almost used the full pack of these wipes and I quiet like them as a first step of makeup remover. These wipes get rid of most of my foundation, eyeshadow, eyeliner and a good amount of mascara. They are pretty effective at removing long lasting lipsticks as well. These don’t have any fragrance to them and feel extremely gentle on the skin. These wipes are also very moist and really feel saturated with the micellar water. They leave a light greasy film behind but I don’t mind that because I anyway have to deep cleanse after using these. These neither leave my skin moisturised nor dry..my skin stays pretty comfortable. These are also pretty big wipes so on most days I only need one to get rid of most of my makeup. The pack is absolutely lovely and makes for a great travel companion. These wipes also feel refreshing on the skin if you using them just on the flight or after a long day. They get rid of dirt and grime pretty well. They have never irritated my skin or eyes. These wipes are also allergy tested and fragrance free.

I found these to be pretty good wipes but nothing exceptional. I found my Kara Wipes to be extremely good. Plus I am someone who goes through her wipes very quickly. I would personally not spend so much money on wipes when there are a whole lot of cheaper options available.
Would you spend so much money on makeup wipes?

  1. I don’t remember when i last bought a pack of wipes for face. I’m perpetually using the wipes i get for my kids – Chicco / Pigeon – works just fine! 😉 But yes, those aren’t as effective as say the MAC wipes – which are the only makeup wipes I’ve actually tried!

  2. Kara is my regular brand, besides natio and inglot for on the go and travel use. However will give a try to clinique as well, but true why pay more when you get the similar results for lesser price. At home prefer using take the day off balm from Clinique or forest essentials makeup remover oil as advised by Rati Mam.
