Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Visible Skin Renewer Review

Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Visible Skin Renewer

Hi Friends, I got Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Visible Skin Renewer only because I have oily, acne-prone skin and I hate using scrub as in I don’t really have face covered with acne, but there is always one pimple or so lingering somewehere on the face and use of scrubs aggravates it and suddenly there are two or three more. Also, those singular pimples on my face almost alwayssss leave a deep dark scar, which I have to take a lot of care to lighten and reduce.

Hence, I was looking out for a good chemical scrub rather than a physical one. After a lot of hunting, I realised Clinique makes one and since Clinique products are supposed to be considered a safe bet for skin, since they are allergy tested, etc., etc., etc., I decided to shell out around 2000 rupees for 30 ml quantity! pheww!!!!

What the Company Says:
*Unveils skin’s optimal radiance: brighter, even-toned, luminous.
*Achieved through an unprecedented multi-level skin renewal process. An advanced cocktail of exfoliants continually speeds fresh, vibrant cells to the surface.
*Skin immediately looks perfected, feels velvety-smooth.
*Over time, the appearance of fine lines and discolourations is reduced. Oil-free. Ideal for all skin types.

My Experience with Clinique Turnaround Concentrate – Visible Skin Renewer:

Its a nice lightweight skyblue plastic bottle with a pump. The pump pumps adequate quantity to cover entire face. It is completely fragrance free, which I love my products to be. The gel-like consistency spreads well and a very little quantity is required for the face. It gets absorbed into the skin pretty quickly; however, it somehow feels heavy for my skin.

Clinique Skin Renewer

For all skin types? I wish, it broke me out!!!! Like I said, it felt a little heavy and made my skin oily in a little time, so I kept it for night-time use. The second time I applied it in the night, I broke out!!!!

I tried once more and it gave me two more break outs!! I got very irritated. My face practically showed just 3 pimples rather than anything else and I decided to keep it away for sometime. I did not want to blame this serum alone, I thought there could be other products to blame.

After about three to four weeks, when my skin got clear, I decided to give it a try. Yet again, I got a couple of breakouts with single application. I thought probably its not meant for night-time use. So, I started applying in the morning and again within two more days of usage, more pimples gave previous ones company!!!!

I am soooooo angryyy!!! aren’t Clinique products supposedly tested? My skin is not even 1% sensitive, probably its only my skin reacting like that, but really, I am so angry and depressed because my 2000 rupees have gone down the drain!!

By the way, I turned to reviews online to see if I was the only one, but no, I found a hell lot of reviews talking about breakouts and how this serum plays havoc with the skin!!!! Most of them who faced this problem were dry-skinned gals (but hello! I am hyper oily skinned and it broke me out badly too). For the very teeny meeny amount of girls that it worked for, it took about one to two months time to show a little result and I really don’t think its worth it!!

Tearfully coming to it pros and cons.

Pros of Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Visible Skin Renewer

:smug: It is fragrance free.
:smug: Gets absorbed easily, leaving a smooth soft texture.

Cons of Clinique Turnaround Concentrate Visible Skin Renewer

😥 Breaks me out and way too much!!!!
😥 I bought this serum to exfoliate my skin to reveal fresher new skin and reduce blemishes, but it gifts me with fresh breakouts and additional scarring!!
😥 Extremely expensive.
😥 No brighter, even-toned, luminous, blemish-free skin. I mean how am I supposed to know if it does that or no!! I absolutely can’t use it again after even one usage!!

Final Thought:

2000 bucks gone down the drain. I am soo stunned!! I don’t know if i want to brutally throw it away, just make it sit there and decorate my vanity table or give it to my mum (it would feel ruthless to do that).

Would I buy it Again?
Nooooooooooooooooooo!! :tremble: I wish I had taken a sample of this one. I mean I got some samples of other products with purchase of this product and some were umm-uhh and some I absolutely loved. I wish I had bought a deserving product and this one would have been among the samples. On second thoughts, no, it would still add to my facial blemishes) since one usage is enough for this brutal product!! :tremble:

Would I Recommend?
No way, but if you are curious and if you want to try it out, ask for a sample on your other purchase or apply in the store and let it be for a day, like one tests foundations.

Rating:
No rating, well, ermmm, I would like to give it a minus 5!!

  1. oh dear..its quite an expensive product and sorry it didnt work for u :(( i guess we should always take samples for such expensive products before investing in them :haanji:
:thanks: for the review i will stay far away from this one!

      1. My God   tis is nt xpctd wid Clinique :phoolan: :phoolan: :phoolan: :pan: :pan: :pan: i to nw stick to my routine routine wala only :methinks: :methinks: i wanted to try bt ye to bhot zayada hi ho gaya yaar :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

    1. I am still depressed parita…! The scarring is still there on my face… And the pimples I got by these never used to heal for literal two weeks… They used to stay on the face adamantly.. Where as regular pimples heal in like 3 to 4 days

    1. i dont knw whts wrong wid clinique, 🙁
i got my clarifying lotion 3 last month and it smells bad of loads of alcohol…. thr was nothing of dat sort in d sample thy had given me 😐 😐 😐 😐 😐

      1. I know nufur!! That day heer was also telling me..! That clinique boasts about its testing and all but it doesn’t end up suiting a lot of people . :pissedoff: :hunterwali: :hunterwali:

    2. So true rati.. ! And the only product of clinique that I felt truly worth buying was take the day off eye makeup remover…. Now ill read reviws only of their other range before buying :zombiekiller:

  2. :idk: :idk: :idk: :idk: 🙁 maybe it’s a good idea to do a bit of research online before splurging on such ridiculously expensive products. i mean, spending a few hundreds on a bad product is something we all can get over, but a couple thousand wasted is downright traumatic!! :panda: :panda:

    1. it is.!! i always do research onlne before buying..but pata nhai y for this one i never bothered.. probably there was trust factor somewhere for clinique… which ofcourse is broken now :sidefrown: :sidefrown: :sidefrown: :sidefrown:

  3. Itss really sad to know ! I thought I was going to read a good review seeing the brand name clinique ! Cant believe ! One place you wrote 2000 for 3 ml ! I think it would be 30 ml ! Anyways I think you should rather use peels like everyuth peel and all instead of scrub and do drink some blood purifier and if possible have himalaya or baidyanath neem tablets, these are ayurvedic and will solve your problem naturally !

  4. 2000 bucks for 3ml?????? is that right or its a typo? 😯 😯 😯 😯
Evenif it was good, 3ml wud’ve lasted just for a week

take this clinique :spank: :spank: :spank: :spank:

      1. I think thats 30 ml not 3 ml, 3 ml would come in a small pouch na, even shampoo pouch comes with 7.5 ml, so its a typo, its 30 ml i think

  5. its really too bad that it didnt work for you. you must have been disappointed to say the least. well, i hope another really good inexpensive product comes along which works well on you. Good luck..

    1. ya.. more than money im worried about my face… its left a lottt of scars…

      and thankyou ..i hope i find a good one soon O:) O:)

  6. oh god i cant imagine clinique ka itna ganda rating :O hehe excellent review and wth 2k seriously down the drain! Go beat up clinique’s ppl! The last company I expected to give a false claims based product!!! *super miffed*

    1. seriously now that uv given the idea atleast ill make it a point to let them know when passing by :methinks: :methinks: :methinks: 🙁 🙁 🙁

    1. it is… but wht worse is when they spoil ur skin….
its ok if a prodcut doesnt work and is harmless..
but if a product doesnt work and is sooo harmful :hunterwali: :hunterwali: :hunterwali:

  7. I have used the 3Step for my oily acne prone skin. Used it for 6months patiently with zilch positive results and worse skin due to developing of allergic reaction that was diagnosed late. Clinique should really have a dekkho at their ”allergy tested” on this-many-thousand-individuals claim.

  8. At first I was so shocked to read 3ml quantity..thank god it was 30 ml or else I would have never forgiven you
Try to phasao some one in the imbb sale next time, what doesnt work for us might work for someone else 😀 😀

    1. :tremble: :tremble: :tremble: :tremble: phasao any one!!
yeh serum itna bura hai ritika.. k main dua karungi k god yeh dushman ko bhi na dey :tremble: :tremble: :tremble: :tremble: :tremble: :tremble: :tremble:

  9. Neha….I am terribly sorry, the correction came in so much later in the day……sorry hai ji…… :puchhi: :puchhi: :puchhi: :puchhi: :puchhi: :puchhi: :puchhi: :puchhi: :puchhi: :puchhi: :puchhi:

    1. its ok jomu… i understand :highfive: :highfive: :highfive: :highfive:
i worte in the comments atleast as soon as i saw the post :stars: :stars: :stars:

  10. Neha……the name is so fancy that even I would have fallen for it….but two thousand rupees….I can understand……..so many lipishticks we could have bought

    1. i know… the name is just toooooo fancy,…
i jut went for it didnt evn bother for reviews online.. now i wont trust clinique that much..
agar jaungi toh bahut homework karke :zombiekiller: :zombiekiller: :zombiekiller:

  11. Ohhhh thats a disaster :((
Even Ive spent 2 months searching for a perfect anti aging thingy for me to begin …. we oily skinnned have such less options :headbang: :headbang:

BTW- I saw in a doctors show here that the companies mention that the products are tested- but they are just tested- no1 shows the results of the tests…. so bad naa :((

    1. :tremble: :tremble: :tremble: :tremble: really!!! these companies make sucha fool of us people :hunterwali: :hunterwali: :hunterwali: :hunterwali: :hunterwali: :hunterwali: :hunterwali: :hunterwali: :hunterwali: :hunterwali:

oily skinned people defntly have less options bee 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥

  12. clarins does win hands down priti…!!! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
    me to loves it bits..
its expensive but never lets me down..
i love their ech and every skincare product iv used..
i used to think clinique qpuld even be better..
but noo it isnt :pissedoff: :pissedoff: :pissedoff: :pissedoff: :pissedoff:

    1. I kinda have this feeling she’s pregnant with Dan..did you see the looks they exchanged in front Louis..Dan seems to be all head over heels :stars: :stars:
Hope m wrong..I like chuck and blair together :teddy: :teddy:

  13. I paid $80 for this product and then spent $300 to see a dermatologist because of the HAVOC it cause for my skin….
I’ve never had a breakout like this in my life and I am so annoyed with CLINIQUE because m dermatologist said I have definietly had an ellergic reaction to which has caused congestion under my skin.
I’m not going to say it’s a bad product as I’ve passed it on to my sister and it works fine for her. It’s just not meant for everyone !!
