My Take on Coastal Scents Hot Pot Steel Grey HP – ME 18:
This is one of my first eyeshadows from Coastal Scents which I ordered along with a few more IMBBians during the 40% sale season and I am so very excited to talk about this Hot Pot.
Shade:
This is a beautiful, shimmery, dark grey eye shadow and more appropriately should be called as Gunmetal shade. It may appear a bit silvery, but actually applies as a lovely dark grey onto the eyes. I did not owe a single shimmery grey and so I am in love with this color a lot.
Texture:
The eyeshadow is highly pigmented and very fine in texture. It is easy to pick the shade in a single swipe of brush and apply and blend softly on the eyes. The finish is shimmery and not glittery which is just perfect for both day and evening wear. The eyeshadow does have a small fallout though, but that can be easily cleaned, nothing too messy.
Staying Power:
The eyeshadow stays on for a good 6-7 hours on me without a proper primer, though I use a concealer on my eyes before it. There was minimum fading and creasing at the end of 7 hours and I was happy to wash it off easily using my normal face wash or cleanser. The intensity and staying power can be easily increased using a primer first. One can use it both as wet and dry, but it’s quite an intense color that shows up easily in the normal dry form itself.

Overall, I am very happy and impressed with this particular shade from Coastal Scents.

- Good staying power of 6-7 hours.
- Single swipe of brush picks up enough color.
- Finishing is metallic/shimmery with no chunky glitters.
- Quite cheap these days because of sale and if shipping is shared. 😛

- Does have some fallout.
- Eyeshadow fades a little after 5 hours.

Yes, this is a really pretty and unique grey shade of eyeshadow and many of you should grab it during the holiday sale season at slashed prices. :jog:
Now, here is my EOTD with this eyeshadow. I have applied a silver eye shadow on the inner one third of the eyes and on the brow bone and the rest outer two-third f the eye is covered with this CS Steel Grey Hot Pot and also on the lower lash line. I lined my eyes with Maybelline black gel liner and used Rimmel London mascara on the lashes. Hope you gals like it. 😉
