Coastal Scents Hot Pots – Raspberry Tart and Dark Goldenrod

Today I am sharing my collection of coastal scents hot pots. The coastal scents hot pots are everyone’s favourite for their good quality and amazing price. These hot pots are a great way to try out different shades. One can try out shades which you have doubts with whether it would suit you or not. Coastal scents have a vast collection of shades with different finishes. There are about 378 hot pots in total, providing us with a lot of colour choices. I love the idea of building up a palette of your choice without burning a hole in your pocket.
These hot pots did impress me with quality too along with price. The hot pots are soft and smooth in texture and pretty good in pigmentation too. Read on to know more about the individual hot pots.

What coastal scents describes it as?

A 1-inch metal pan that contains a highly pigmented eye shadow for multiple applications. Each Coastal Scents Hot Pot™ fits snugly into one of the Go Pod, 4 Piece, 12 Piece, and 28 Piece Interchangeable Palettes. These custom palettes contain magnets in a soft foam padding which attract the metal pan of the Hot Pot™. This allows you to completely customize your palette to create any look by simply adding interchangeable Hot Pots™ from the vast collection of shades, hues, and finishes.

Packaging: The coastal scents hot pots are in 1 inch size diameter, approximately the size of one rupee coin. The hot pots are compact and will snugly fit into their empty refill palettes. One can also make a magnetic palette on your own and store these hot pots safely. The name coastal scents along with the respective shade names are printed at the back of the hot pots for reference.

Raspberry Tart:

It is a beautiful purplish shade with red undertone. The shade has a metallic shimmer finish. The colour is different from the normal purples I have used. It looks pretty with Indian outfits. This shade will look good on all skin tones.

Texture and pigmentation: Raspberry tart has a smooth texture and blends well without any difficulty. The eyeshadow is not chalky in texture. The shade is very well pigmented, a single swipe of eyeshadow gives full colour pay off. There is some fall out of eyeshadow. Overall I liked the quality.

Staying power: The eyeshadow stayed on me for around 4 hours and later it started fading its intensity slowly. A good primer underneath can increase the wear of the eyeshadow more.

Dark Goldenrod:

I have gold eyeshadows with yellow and bronze undertones. I was hunting for a different gold eye shadow. Dark goldenrod shade is a beautiful gold eyeshadow with light greenish undertone. A perfect description of the shade would be to say that the eyeshadow has a duo chrome effect of green and gold. The shade has a high metallic shimmer finish. I pair it with a jewel toned green and it does look different and pretty. The colour will look pretty with Indian outfits. This shade will work well with all skin tones.

Texture and pigmentation: Dark goldenrod has a different texture from raspberry tart. It is softer and smoother than raspberry tart in texture and blends really well without any difficulty. The shade is well pigmented, a single swipe of eyeshadow gives full colour pay off. There is a little bit fall out of eye shadow but it is better than raspberry tart.

Staying power: The eyeshadow stayed on me for about 4 hours and later leaves a light greenish hue when it starts fading.
