Coffee and Cinnamon Body Scrub – Do It Yourself

Hello Ladies!

Hope you all are doing well. All these years since I started working, I have been ignoring to take care of my hair and skin to a great extent, but after I have started experiencing the ill effects, I am hell bent upon getting back my soft and supple skin. With scheduled visits to the spa on an occasional basis, I am mostly taking care of my skin with all sorts of homemade concoctions.  The ingredients for these are easily available and they are very effective. I have already shared a few hair care regimens with you all that I follow.  Now, I will be sharing with you a few skin and body care recipes in the next few posts.  Today’s DIY is about a luscious coffee, cinnamon and almond oil body scrub.  So, enjoy healthy 🙂

Ingredients Required:

Coffee and Cinnamon Body Scrub Do It Yourself

(I am making it in a small proportion, you can increase the proportion and store the scrub for later use).

  • 3 tbsp sugar.
  • 3 tbsp coffee powder.
  • 1 small tbsp cinnamon powder.
  • 2 tbsp almond oil (or any body oil of your choice).

Step 1:

Mix the dry ingredients (coffee, cinnamon and sugar) in a bowl.

Coffee Scrub

Step 2:

Whisk it with a spoon to mix it completely.

Coffee Cinnamon

Step 3:

Add the almond oil and mix it. You can add more oil if you want a more oily scrub for the winters. It’s totally your choice.

Coffee Almond Oil Scrub

Step 4:

This is the consistency I like to use.

Coffee Face Scrub

Use the scrub while bathing. Scrub it all over your skin in circular motions and then take a warm bath to wash it off. It will leave your skin visibly supple with a fragrant smell. The mixture will exfoliate your skin and the oil will provide it a hydrating effect. With the mild aroma of the coffee and the cinnamon, you will definitely love it.

You can store the remaining mixture in an air tight jar for upto 2 weeks.

Hope you like it and try it.  Until next time, cya!!

I am doing fine.. Now that you are free from your Mumbai Trip.. I’ll call you asap.. 🙂

Amropali Nath December 14, 2012 at 6:29 pm

ya Surabhi.. its shows good results.. but its even better if you use granular coffee powder. I have already emptied one packet, and had the instant one in hand so managed with that.. but that is also a good option 🙂 🙂
