My Experience with Collagen By Watsons Hydro Balance Intensive Serum:

Let’s begin with the packaging of the product. The serum comes in a sky blue plastic bottle with an easy pump dispenser. The bottle has a transparent cap that closes pretty nicely and makes this bottle fit for carrying around. One pump dispenses enough amount of the product required for one use. This bottle comes housed in a strong blue colored cardboard box. The entire product related information is printed on this box. Overall, the packaging is nice, sturdy and travel-friendly.

The serum has a typical citrus fragrance, which is very mild and absolutely non-bothersome. I love the fragrance as it is so refreshing. The consistency of the serum is neither too thick nor too runny. It has a gel-like formulation. Normally serums are supposed to have very lightweight formulas but this serum has a gel formulation, which is a little heavy on the skin. I literally have to massage for a while to get the product absorbed into the skin properly. Once fully absorbed it feels like nothing on my skin.

Now let’s see how it performed on my skin. The serum provides light moisturization to the skin. It helps to eliminate that dryness and flakiness from the skin but it is effective for only oily skin type. It may not provide enough hydration to dry skin. It does not give any discomfort nor it makes any skin allergies or skin irritation. My skin easily reacts to creams and serums; thankfully, this product does not break me out.

The serum keeps my skin pretty much hydrated for 5-6 hours only but after that my skin starts to feel dry and requires a reapplication. The biggest pro of this serum is that it is non-greasy. It does not make my skin oily and it does not break me out. My skin stays matte even so many hours after application. It does not add any glow or liveliness to my dull skin. Overall, this is just an average product. It does not provide any extraordinary results.
