My Experience with Collagen By Watsons Penta-Lucent System White Regeneration Bio-Cellulose Mask:
The sheet mask comes in a sophisticated white plastic packet with simple detailing on it in pink and purple color. The entire product related information is printed at the back of the packet. Each packet contains one sheet mask. This sleek and small packaging is easy to carry while travelling. Overall, the packaging is basic and I did not really observe any flaws about it.
The sheet mask comes folded with a thin sheet. There is a sticky gel side of this mask, which comes pasted on the thin sheet. Therefore, to apply this mask, first remove the thin sheet and put the gel side on the face. Now, press it firmly so that the mask adheres to the skin properly. The material of this sheet mask is very different from those regular ones. It is thick and kind of rough as well. It does not stick to the skin properly and keeps popping up near the chin area and near the edges. The shape of the mask does not perfectly fit to the face. This may be because of the rigid and thick material of the sheet mask. So, this is the biggest flaw of this sheet mask. There are cut outs for eyes, nose and lips like other sheet masks but they do not fit the face properly. The mask feels like sitting on my face and feels slightly heavy.
The mask is too wet and serum drips out of it making everything so messy. This is the problem, which I have faced in every sheet mask from this collagen range by Watsons. I have tried so many Watsons sheet mask but I personally felt that this particular range is not very impressive. I prefer keeping it for 25-30 minutes to let the essence sink into the skin nicely. The mask has an annoying chemical like fragrance, which is strong and quite bothersome.
This mask claims to whiten and brighten the skin. So, now let’s see how it worked on my skin. The mask left so much gel like residue behind upon removing and does not really dry up completely. I massaged the left out essence into my skin until it is fully absorbed. This takes some good 4-5 minutes. It left slightly oily sheen on my skin. The whitening and brightening claim of this sheet mask is kind of far fetched. There is no lightening or brightening of skin at all. I did not observe any brightened glow on my skin. It only moisturized my skin normally and took away the dryness and flakiness from my skin. It provided perfect amount of moisturization to my skin and helped to keep it hydrated throughout the day. It nourished my skin and made my skin soft and supple. I have sensitive and acne-prone skin and this face mask does not break me out at all.
Overall, this mask simply moisturizes my skin and does not do any extraordinary wonders to my skin.
