Lip creams are light to wear, moisturise your lips and at the same time give true matte finish. Today I am going to talk about Collection 2000 Cream Puff. About Collection 2000 I wasn’t aware of until I saw it in Boots. I liked the concept of lip cream and swatched all the colours on my hand and girls I was so impressed with the colour pay off and texture. So I decided to pick 3 colours out of 4, which are Cotton Candy, Powder Puff and Fairy Cake. One which I don’t own is Angel Delight.
Again a makeup product with very affordable price tag. 2.99 GBP each.
My Experience with Collection 2000 Cream Puff Moisturising Lip Cream Cotton Candy, Powder Puff and Fairy Cake:
Now let’s first talk about the packaging. These cream puffs come in plastic body. Bottom part doing complete justice showing exact colour which is under the tube; so it’s so easy to pick the shade when you are in hurry. The cap looks like as if it is made of rubber kind of material, so it may capture your finger prints, but for me that’s ok 🙂 . It comes with a typical doe foot applicator.
The texture of these lip creams is very soft, with very mild caramel candy fragrance. Pigmentation is pretty good that when I apply it on my lips it ensures to give even coverage in one single swipe. It gives velvety matte finish to my lips. It feels very light on my lips and stays about 4-5 hours without eating and drinking in between.
Cotton Candy: Cotton Candy is a soft medium pink colour with a purple tone. Looks very good on fair to medium skin tone.
Fairy Cake: Fairy Cake is a pretty coral shade. Perfect for a summer day. This colour gives warmth to my face and makes it glowing. It is the closest dupe of NYX Soft matte lip cream in Antwerp.
Powder Puff: This is my least favourite shade from all of the three lip creams. I don’t know what was I thinking when I picked up this shade 😛 😛 . It doesn’t suit to my skin tone at all and I believe it won’t suit to even pale skin as well. Every time I apply this colour I feel maybe I can use it as a lip concealer and can apply some sheer lipstick shades on top of it. This will definitely give more colour pay off and would increase the staying power as well. So, it was a complete wrong pick by me.
Pros of Collection 2000 Cream Puff Moisturising Lip Cream Cotton Candy, Powder Puff and Fairy Cake:
- Formula is very smooth and velvety.
- Very affordable.
- I love the caramel fragrance.
- Feels very lightweight.
Cons of Collection 2000 Cream Puff Moisturising Lip Cream Cotton Candy, Powder Puff and Fairy Cake:
- Only 4 shades available.
- Staying power is not very long.
For its brilliant formula and price, I would like to rate it 4 out of 5. The only thing missing is more colour range and easy availability.
Would I repurchase/recommend Collection 2000 Cream Puff Moisturising Lip Cream Cotton Candy, Powder Puff and Fairy Cake?
If Collection 2000 comes with more colour range, I want to grab ALL the shades from it. I simply love Cream Puff and love to wear it on daily basis. To sum up, I would recommend Collection 2000 Cream Puffs to you all. If you are travelling to UK or any of your friend, relative stay there, ask them to get these for you. 🙂
