I am Harika and this is my first post. I must admit that I am a beauty junkie whose current obsession is blushes. Now, tell me, who doesn’t love blushes. Welcome to my first post!!
Do you want “Way To Glow” or would you be “Blushalicious.” Confused?? Don’t be, well the shimmer shades are here!! I am super excited about the products I am reviewing today and it is my current “blush/bronzer” obsession, which is super cheap and affordable.
Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades:
Colour Options: Way To Glow and Blushalicious.
£4.19, Rs. 340.58 for 12 gm.
Clear glass-like plastic, lightweight compact.
Dupe for Bobbi Brown Shimmer Blocks.
Release the shimmer queen in you, and create a soft glow that lasts all day long with new Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades. These delightful, little compacts will give you a sun kissed, radiant glow normally associated with spending time under the exotic sun. With two palettes to choose from, prepare to dazzle as the four merged blocks combine shimmer with shade for a multi-tonal and natural blend of colour.
How To Use:
The Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades’ skin-brightening formula will help enhance your natural skin colour ready for long, romantic evenings, by illuminating the apples of your cheeks and giving a light sparkle. Choose from either a bronze base in Way to Glow or a blush flush in Blushalicious. Athena Skouvakis, the Collection 2000 makeup artist says:
“For a healthy sunkissed look, work product from all four colour cubes into a big bronzing brush and apply to the face and neck, blending thoroughly. To highlight the cheekbones, brow or forehead, sweep a single shade across the area with a blusher brush. Sculpt and contour the face for a look that will take you from dusk to dawn.”
From left, the first swatch is from “Way To Glow.” Left to right, 5th swatch is the mix of all 4 colours and the 6th to 9th swatches belong to the Blushalious compact and the 10th swatch is the mixture of all four colours.
My Take on Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades – Way To Glow and Blushalicious:
I think this is a totally amazing blush/bronzer combo for summers. It gives the most subtle glowy effect, perfect for summers. Who wouldn’t like a sun-kissed glow? The colors can be applied by themselves or can be mixed together and used.
I often tend to use these for highlighting, i.e., under the brow bone, cupid’s bow, etc. The first color on the left as highlight is just ideal. The darkest colour in the compact can also be used for contouring, can be applied on the hollows of the cheeks, temples and under the chin. Lastly, if you love peach blushes, the last color is perfect peach. Overall, this shimmer shade looks amazing on Indian skin and as the name suggests, it is the “Way To Glow.”
Again, this is a hit. This was my first shimmer shade. This is extremely pigmented, no chalking, nothing awful or powdery. I like to mix all the colours together to get the glowy pinky cheeks, which is perfect on any skin tone. If you like that Kim Kardashian kind of glow from within and pinky cheeks, this is the product for you. Overall, Blushalicious brings a natural blush on me and I just love it, must-have I would say.
Pros of Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades – Way To Glow and Blushalicious:
- Cheap because you get four blushes for £4, wow!
- Highly pigmented.
- Super soft, glowy, shimmery.
- Easy to work with any brush.
- Can be used as a highlighter as well as a bronzer.
- Long lasting, around 8 hours.
Cons of Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades – Way To Glow and Blushalicious:
- Can’t point out any.
I would definitely buy if I run out of these, hope you guys liked my review.
Take care lovelies, see you in my next post.
