Collection #ConcealAndLightLikeAPro Palette Review

Skin tone: Warm skin tone.

Hi girls,

When I was in Boots one day, I saw new products being arranged on the shelves. I noticed there were new palettes and I instantly picked one. I don’t really own a correcting palette so, I thought I shouldn’t go wrong. This palette has the color correctors meant for lighter skin tone. Take a look.

Price: £5.99
Product Description:
– Custom-blend cream concealer shades provide buildable coverage.
– Colour correcting cream shades for a camera-ready complexion.
– Cream contour and highlight shades to sculpt and add radiance.

My Experience with Collection #ConcealAndLightLikeAPro Palette:

The palette is clearly meant for lighter, porcelain and ivory skin tones. They should have had another deeper skin tone palette in the same format. Unfortunately, it does have few shades that will be very helpful for me. The color correctors in the lavender, yellow and the highlighting shades are useful. The green can be used if you have any redness, irrespective of the skin tone. Again, the lavender is meant for very dull and sallow skin but, the warm skin toned people have to use it with caution. The yellow shade can be lightly used as an eye brightener on top of your concealer.

The two deeper colors actually work for me like a concealer. They are light to use and do not look stark. If you are very pale, you could use the same deeper shades for contour. Again, the top left two shades are so light and peachy, they would look very light and stand out on my skin. I might use them as a lip primer.

The texture is something I love, this is just right, not too hard or buttery, you could use a finger or a flat concealer brush to apply and blend them. A fluffy brush will not do the job for you. Again, the texture does not set but, stays put if you set it with powder. Use this before your foundation and powder if it matches your skin tone, and you are sorted.

The highlighter again is very light for me, it hardly shows up. But for very pale skin, this can be a subtle highlighter. Nevertheless, I love to use it for my brow bone and nose and cheekbone highlight. That being said, I manage to use many shades in the palette, despite my Indian skin tone. But, it is a compact and complete palette if you are really pale skin toned.

Pros of Collection #ConcealAndLightLikeAPro Palette:

  • Color correctors and concealers for light skin in one palette.
  • Smooth and blend well.
  • Pretty light palette to carry around.
  • Affordable.

Cons of Collection #ConcealAndLightLikeAPro Palette:

  • Clearly not meant for warm skin tones.
  • No orange corrector.
  • Two shades are so peachy, of no use to me.
  • Might look ashy.
  • Could get messy when you dab in the palette, back and forth.

IMBB Rating: 3/5
Will I Recommend or Repurchase Collection #ConcealAndLightLikeAPro Palette?
Like I said if you are really pale, and only beginning your journey on color corrector and concealers, this is good to pick up. For deeper and warm skin, you can easily pass this one.
