Previously, I had reviewed a palette from the same range of Collection cosmetics here (N*de Grey). While the former had some grey shades in it, this n*de palette is simply perfect in every way, for everyday wear, and for all skin tones. Yes, it can be worn lightly by most skin tones, even to office. Have a look and see if it reminds you of any other palette that you might have used. Collection Eyes Uncovered Palette in N*de allows you to create a classic nude eye, perfect for an everyday look. Choose from six different shades (White Chocolate, Buttercream, Biscuit, Chocolate Milk, Brown Sugar and Espresso).
Palette of 6 highly pigmented eyeshadow shades. Smooth, velvet texture for easy blending. Combination of shades enables you to create a natural daytime look and enhance with darker shades for an evening transformation.
1. Using a fluffy brush cover the eyelid with the shade 1 and take it up to the brow bone
2. Tapping off any excess, layer a blend of shades 2 and 3 all over the eyelid to add intensity
3. Take the shade 5 along the socket line to add depth to the eye, blending outwards and upwards as you go
4. Using the same shade 5, take this along the lower lash line using a flat, angled brush
5. Apply the shade 6 close to the lash line on the upper lid to make lashes appear fuller
6. Repeat on the lower lash line.
My Experience with Collection Cosmetics Eyes Uncovered Palette – Nude:
This palette has colors that I would love to use to shape my droopy eyes, but nothing that’s in your face. You could even wear it to work. It has some sheen to it, but barely a shimmer that would add too much shine to the face. This palette would also help you to create a perfect simple black eyeliner look and to aid in creating some crease or smoking out of lower lash line with a brown.
The first color “white chocolate” is exactly what it says it is. The color is matte and a pale cream white color like milk chocolate. This can be used to brighten inner corner or under the brows or to tone down any eyeshadow that is not blended well.
The next shade “Butter cream” is a pale pearly shade with some sheen to it. It definitely is something to brighten inner corners of the eyes since it never stands out. I also use it for the lids.
“Biscuit” is again a pearly shade, but it has some taupe to it. It is again ideal for lid and for lifting and brightening the eyes. “Chocolate Milk” is a beautiful light taupe brown to wear in the crease or like a wash of color on the lids. Brown Sugar is very close to “Biscuit” shade. The last one in Espresso is perfect for crease, and to smoke out the lower lash line. All these shades works beautifully together, none of them look over the top. Except “White Chocolate,” all shades have a pearly sheen to them.
The application is very smooth, it feels smooth and very lightly powdery, without a primer. Even without a primer, it lasted on me for 3 hours. So with a primer, 5 hours plus can be expected. The colors have minimal fall out, I am happy with the pigmentation and intensity for a n*de palette that it is.
Pros of Collection Cosmetics Eyes Uncovered Palette – Nude:
- Smooth, buttery texture.
- Minimal fall out.
- Lasts well with a primer underneath.
- Colors are all well coordinated.
- Everyday colors for all skin tones.
Cons of Collection Cosmetics Eyes Uncovered Palette – Nude:
- Might feel crumbly if you use a harsh brush.
- Might not show up much on deeper skin tones.
Would I Recommend/Repurchase Collection Cosmetics Eyes Uncovered Palette – Nude?
