Hello my loves,
How is everyone doing?
I will be reviewing the Collection Volume Sensation Lipstick in Shade no.1, Forever Heather, the brand was earlier known as Collection 2000!!
This will probably be the second time I’m reviewing a lipstick, however, I have sort of a love-hate relationship with it! I don’t love it neither do I hate it; it’s just something I have in my vanity case and prefer to use the least! My sister loved the shade and ordered it, but it didn’t really manage to make it to our favorite list like the cream puffs did (I absolutely adore those and they just flatter my skin tone superbly). Anyway, moving ahead with the review:
Price: It costs 2.99 pounds for each lipstick, which is pretty reasonable.
Packaging: Being the girly girl that I am, pink packaging always catches my attention. This lippie has that fuchsia pink packaging, which I find really cute. Bottom has the shade name written while the top has some cute detailing in hot pink painted.
Color: The color is indeed very pretty, it is a rosy brown color and looks great in the packaging, but once it’s on your lips, it looks very sheer. The color is quite similar to a Burberry lipstick in the shade Rosewood, but a tad darker than it. If you have pigmented lips, the shade is not going to show up as much. However, on slightly pigmented lips, it will easily cover the pigmentation up. The color can be worn to work or school. The quality offered is amazing as well.
Fragrance: This lipstick has a very slight fragrance to it, not over-powering at all. I’ve read that not all the lipsticks come with that smell, so maybe Forever Heather is one of those that come with a mild fragrance.
Texture: The texture is quite nice according to me; it does not dry my lips out. It is creamy and pretty hydrating according to me. It’s creamy and also, it has a plumping effect, with which you can easily fake a fuller pout, without having to use plumper’s.
Color Pay-Off: The color pay off I won’t say is bad, its average and something not meant for people with darker lips, at least that is what I’ve felt. But, it does a pretty good job on people with slightly or not pigmented lips. Also, on application it gives a mild tingly sensation, which goes away in some time.
Staying power: The lipstick lasted on me pretty long, after which I felt the need to re-apply it. Even though it is not matte, the color stays on the lips for quite a long time, and there is nothing a touch up cannot fix.
Pros of Collection Forever Heather Volume Sensation Lipstick:
- Pretty pink packaging
- Lovely rosy brown color
- Covers up slightly pigmented lips
- Mild fragrance
- Has a plumping effect
- Has a nice creamy texture
- The color is wearable for work
- Stays on the lip for long
Cons of Collection Forever Heather Volume Sensation Lipstick:
- Sheer color
- Is not good for dark lips
- Average color pay-off
Do I recommend Collection Forever Heather Volume Sensation Lipstick ?
I do, it is a nice lipstick, but just the sheer texture turns me off. If you prefer sheer lipsticks over dark ones, this will be the right pick for you.
Would I repurchase Collection Forever Heather Volume Sensation Lipstick?
I would want to try other shades from the range.
