Today’s review is about Collistar Mascara Design – Extra-Volume Lash-plumping. I recently purchased two mascaras from Collistar brand; one was good and the other was not for me. I am reviewing the one which does not suit me. Read on to know why.

My Experience with Collistar Mascara Design:
The product comes in a textured white packaging, which looks good. There is a little information about the product on the cardboard packaging. The mascara comes in a glossy black tube with golden engravings which looks very luxurious.
The product is quite high in price and the packaging looks worth the price you pay. The wand has the right length and the bristles are thick and well packed. The bristles pick up a good amount of the product and there is no need to dip the wand into the casing for more product.
The product is supposed to contain special nylon fibers that lengthen and thicken the lashes. It is exactly these nylon fibers which makes it unsuitable for contact lens wearers. When I purchased this product online, it was told it’s suitable for all and then I read the details after receiving the product, only to find out it’s not suitable for contact lens wearers.
The nylon fibers make the lashes look filled and thicker. It adds more volume. The product also claims to plump lashes after 30 days. I think 30 days is too long to wait for and also, the mascara cost is quite high to continue using in the long term.
The color is dark black which is perfect and I have no complaints. Also, there is no fallout or crumbling at the end of the day. It also comes off with a little bit of effort with makeup remover.
I used just one layer to try it out. The results were good. As a lens wearer, I did not want to go for more layers, which mean more fibers on lashes which increase the chances of the fibers entering the eyes and creating problems.
The eyes look more intense but I do not think I will continue using this as it’s not good for the contact lens. I do not want to damage my lens and eyes for this reason.
Overall, it’s a good mascara but not for people who wear contact lens.

It’s not for contact lens wearers, so I will not repurchase it.

Yes, it’s a good mascara but one has to think about its cost.
