My Experience with Collistar Puro Lipstick 72 Rubino Stregato:
I love Collistar skin care products and had never tried their lipsticks. I use matte lipsticks for every day work wear and thought of giving it a try. I picked a red shade as one can never go wrong with red. It suits every skin tone and every occasion.
The product comes in a cardboard packaging. It has all details written on the cardboard. It’s all in white and golden. The lipstick case is translucent with frost effect and a little bit of gold hardware. There is a golden casing inside, which is seen though the frost effect. The lid opens and closes comfortably. Overall, the packaging could have been better. It looks more like plastic and a metallic look would have given it a more luxury look. The lipstick is travel-friendly and won’t get any scratches on it due to the frosty material.
The color of the lipstick is ruby red. I have dusky skin tone and not pink lips. On me, the color looks more like a mix of red and dark plum with warm undertones.
The texture is very creamy and does not tug when applied on lips. The lipstick looks semi-matte and hence, I bloat it with a tissue after application and it looks fully matte.
The lipstick does not bleed at all and stays put all day. The pigmentation is very good. Just one layer and it’s good to go. It creates a totally opaque look with just one swipe. I would not apply more than one layer as with one layer itself, the color is bold enough.
The longevity is also quite good. It survived meals with light fading. Best part is that it did not look patchy. I could reapply if required. By the end of the day, after all the meals it leaves the lips tinted evenly. I have applied this on dry cracked lips and this lipstick does not accentuate the dry patches. Since the color is quite dark, it hides the cracks. Also, my lips felt quite hydrated and the dry lips got better.
I love the lips red and hence like to use it almost every day be it office, festival, outing or party. I just cannot recommend it enough. It suits all skin tones and the finish is just perfect.
