Do cute looking makeup products make you go weak in the knee? Well it certainly does that to me. When I spotted this product I was floored by its name, ‘lip jam’ and it’s cute packaging. And to top it up, it has orange colors available, which made me jump out of joy and I got both the orangish shades available from this range. Today I will be reviewing one for you the Color Bucket Lip Flash Jam in the shade Swing Jam.

My Experience with Color Bucket Lip Flash Jam #4 Swing Jam:

Color Bucket Lip Flash Jam is the most cutest packaged product I own. It comes in a tiny purple squeeze tube form with a color coded area at the nozzle end of the tube. The tube has a contrasting yellow nozzle cap that screws down securely making sure no product leaks out, thus making it travel friendly. The nozzle of the tube is tiny, so you can control the amount of product you squeeze out. The shade name is mentioned only on the sticker pasted on the tube, so in case you peel off the sticker, there is no other way you would know the shade.

Swing Jam is a gorgeous coral lip color with absolutely no shimmer or sheen. It isn’t an overtly bright color, but will nevertheless give a fresh look to your face and you can easily wear it to work too. In case you hate wearing glossy colors, then you can just dab a drop of the color on your lips to get a nice stained effect.

As soon as you squeeze out the product from the tube, you will notice that it is on the runny side. It has a liquidy, non-sticky consistency that is easy to apply using both fingers and a lip brush. The runny consistency of this lip jam is prone to bleeding and transferring. I noticed a lot of transferring, if you layer up a lot of product. But, in case you wear the product like a stain (that is by either dabbing a little product on the lips using fingers or by blotting the color with a tissue), the transferring and bleeding doesn’t happen much.

Pigmentation of this Color Bucket Lip Jam is good, a little product is sufficient to cover up your lips. You can definitely build up the intensity according to your comfort level. But, be careful not to glop on too much of the product on your lips because after sometime you will see the color bleeding from the corners and borders of the lips.

This Lip Jam lasts for only 3-4 hours on the lips and fades away gradually and evenly from the lips. It gets completely washed off after a meal and doesn’t stain the lips. Till the lip jam is on your lips, it doesn’t dry them out, but doesn’t moisturize the lips either.

It has a lovely sweet candy smell to it, which is really pleasant and not at all overpowering and headache inducing.

The most interesting part of these Lip Jams is that you can play with colors and create your own unique color. So, if you have varied colors with you, then you can customize your shade each time or you can wear it as itself. Since, this is a non sticky color you can try to multitask it as a cheek color too.

• Shade name is mentioned only on the sticker on the tube. So, once you peel of the sticker, it is difficult to know the shade name.
• Runny consistency.
• Transfers easily.
• Bleeds if applied too much.
• Doesn’t last a meal.
• Doesn’t last long.

Overall, the Color Bucket Lip Jam in the shade Swing Jam is a lovely coral lip color with no shimmer. It has good pigmentation with average staying power. In case you like to customize your own lip color then you can surely get these lip jams and unleash the artist in you. 😉
