As expected, this review onward, I will be reviewing the remaining 9 shades from the Colorbar Ultimate 8 Hrs Stay Lipstick range. Let us start with the shade “001 Brick Red.”

My Experience with Colorbar 001 Brick Red Ultimate 8hrs Stay Lipstick:

Let’s begin with the packaging. Colorbar maintains the shiny silver outer paper carton with the shade name and number on a color-coded sticker. Details about the product is mentioned on the carton itself. The tube is made of super shiny silver body with magnetic closure.

The shade name and number is mentioned at the bottom of the tube as well. I quite liked the little addition of magnetic closure, rarely found in drugstore brands. The bullet is uniquely shaped and aids in the application. Very stylish and glam packaging, you would like to flaunt this.

The shade is a wonderful vibrant red with warm undertones; if you like bluish undertones, wait for the following review. It instantly brightens up the face and adds glow to the complexion. I would say this is an awesome shade for red lovers – a pop of red to brighten up the day.

The texture is like dream. It is light weight and yet pigmented. One swipe covers all pigmentation and you would not even need the lip liner.

The finish is moist matte and with some half an hour it would turn completely matte. I have normal lips, I did not require a lip balm before or after the application. People with dry lips should go for a lip balm before application.

The staying power is also something that needs to be applauded. It survived a full course meal with slight fading from the middle portion of the lower lip. With mini snacks and sips of water, it would definitely stay longer. There is a mild sweet fragrance to the lipstick which vanishes on application.

In the lip swatch, I have used on its own and no lip liner beneath so that you can see the real shade. I am in love with this shade as it is both unique and flattering on my yellowish skin tone.

Though the price range is on the higher side, I am happy with the purchase as there is no room for complaints. Kudos to Colorbar for this awesome range!
