Colorbar 012 Brown Wave Ultimate 8hrs Stay Lipstick Review

Here’s the last and final shade from Colorbar Ultimate 8 Hrs Stay Lipstick range, “012 in Brown Wave.”  Pretty much a neutral lover’s cup of tea; read on to know more on this particular shade.  Rest of the review remains same as Colorbar has been consistent throughout.

My Experience with Colorbar 012 Brown Wave Ultimate 8hrs Stay Lipstick:

Let’s begin with the packaging. Colorbar maintains the shiny silver outer paper carton with the shade name and number on a color-coded sticker. Details about the product is mentioned on the carton itself. The tube is made of super shiny silver body with magnetic closure. The shade name and number is mentioned at the bottom of the tube as well. I quite liked the little addition of magnetic closure, rarely found in drugstore brands. The bullet is uniquely shaped and aids in the application. Very stylish and glam packaging, you would like to flaunt this.

The shade is a pretty rosy brown which can be an MLBB shade. It is not a dull boring brown which would take away life from the face. Due to the neutral nature of the lipstick, it can be paired well with a lot of makeup variations. When I am not able to decide the shade for the day, I pick this up without second thoughts. You can check this out for regular usage; though dupes can be found but the texture as already mentioned is beyond compare.

The texture is like dream. It is lightweight and yet pigmented. One swipe covers all pigmentation and you would not even need a lip liner. The finish is moist matte and within half an hour, it would turn completely matte. I have normal lips, so I do not require a lip balm before or after the application. People with dry lips should go for a lip balm before application.

The staying power is also something that needs applause. It survived a full course meal with slight fading from the middle portion of the lower lip. With mini snacks and sips of water, it would definitely stay longer. There is a mild sweet fragrance to the lipstick which vanishes on application.

Though the price range is on the higher side, I am happy with the purchase as there is no room for complaint. Kudos to Colorbar for the awesome range launch…!
