Before I became a fan of Faces Canada lipsticks, I used to be a big lover of these soft touch lipsticks. They have some fabulous shades like Rhinestone, Pink Charm, Amber, and so on. After MAC Heroine Lipstick, this is the most weird purple I own. It is not too matte and is lighter than Heroine. The finish is smoother and the color is very blue. Take a look:

My Experience with Colorbar 042 Amethyst Soft Touch Lipstick:
This comes in a regular click lock silver case, like other soft touch lipsticks. This shade is a crème finish, very blue. It has no shimmer and it can be called a color you get when you mix purple and white colors with a dash of blue. 😛 This is a shade very few can carry, only pale cool skin tones. Yellow skin tones can stay away from this.
The lipstick glides very smoothly and is very creamy and still does not bleed. It coats the lips well and you can build it up easily. It does transfer a lot. It keeps lips smooth and soft, though. You can very well mattify it with loose powder and tissue paper. You can expect a wear time of 2-3 hours with no tint.

As a lipstick, there is nothing wrong but the color is wrong for me. If you like such blue toned lipsticks, go ahead.
