My Experience with Colorbar Aquafeel Foundation:

Colorbar Aquafeel Foundation Review packaging

The foundation is contained in a pretty silver outer box with all the information printed on it. The actual product comes in a medium beige tube with a silver cap. It is a very simple and normal packaging, that is totally easy to carry around. Also, it is quite an affordable product.

Now, this range has three shades only which I do feel is quite limited. Even there are no shades for darker skin tones. Two shades have pink tones and only the shade Biscotti has a warm yellow tone in it, so I picked up this shade. The shade Biscotti is good for the people having medium or tanned warm skin tone. It matches my skin nicely, still, I can’t find that perfect match. It doesn’t leave any white cast on the face. Only, it is a little extra orangey for me.

The shade is decently pigmented and it is a light coverage foundation that provides a fresh natural coverage to the skin. It’s perfect for the daily purpose and it looks quite fresh on the skin as well. I always prefer natural coverage and it provides that perfectly. It can even out my skin tone well and hide minimal imperfection on skin like normal redness or light darkness on under eye area, normal spots. But it can’t fully hide dark spots or can’t conceal the under eye area properly if you have those dark circles. But you can build up the coverage easily as well.

Like the name describes, it is an Aquafeel Foundation and it has water-based, medium smooth consistency which glides effortlessly on the skin. I used both sponge and brush and like always, it provides less coverage with a sponge and provides better coverage with a brush, otherwise, it blends so well with both the tools and provides a smooth flawless base. This water-based foundation feels very comfortable and lightweight on the skin. It instantly provides a soft natural dewy finish.

It also provides good hydration to the skin which keeps it soft throughout the day. Dry skinned people definitely would love it for its formula. People having oily skin need to follow with a compact powder. It makes skin naturally healthy as well. These days we all want that natural dewy finish. It suits my sensitive skin well and doesn’t break me out. It doesn’t have any particular smell in it, so it is good for all.

I noticed a healthy glow on skin and it keeps it fresh as well. It also never clogs the pores, which is a good thing for me and also doesn’t highlight dry patches or never feels patchy on the skin. This foundation stays nicely for around 5-6 hours with a primer. But it is not so effective in controlling oil. After three hours, my skin gets oily and I need to set it as well. I prefer to use an oil-controlling primer underneath it and then it works little better. It also doesn’t crease or settle into the fine lines but by the end of the day, it slightly moves from my oily T-zone.

Colorbar Aquafeel Foundation Review Swatch

Overall, I like it as a daily useable base product which feels light and looks natural on the skin. It gives a fresh healthy glow to the skin, but the shade is not perfect for me. Sometimes, I prefer to add one drop of light shaded product to it and make it perfect for me. Only three shades, definitely, are not enough for Indians. We have a variety of skin tones. Also, it doesn’t have SPF.
