I have been digging eyeshadow sticks lately and the journey continues with shades from Colorbar’s All-Day Waterproof Eyeshadow sticks range. I have reviewed a few shades already (Moss, Fairy, Mulberry, Olive, Slate, Dream) and I am glad that they have maintained the high quality across all shades in the range. Here is the review on the shade “Blush,” which is lovely to say the least.

My Experience with Colorbar Blush All-Day Waterproof Eyeshadow Stick:
This eyeshadow stick comes in a silver-colored paper carton with all details written on it. The pencil has a black plastic body with a color-coded base. The base comes off as a sharpener which can be used to get a sharp tip for fresh and precise application. The pencil is a twist up style and thankfully twists back in. The shade name and number are mentioned on the body and on the outer carton as well.
The texture is creamy but does not melt on touching the skin. The pigmentation is great and one stroke gives enough color for the color to show up. This particular shade “Blush” looks wonderful as a sheer wash of color on the lids, so a single stroke is good enough. The tip being sharp helps to draw a sharp line as a liner (doesn’t look nice as a liner on my skin tone), else can be used as a shadow too.
“Blush” is a beautiful rose-gold shade with a lovely sheen which looks wonderful as a wash of color on the lid. It can be used as an everyday shadow to college, but it might look slightly casual as an office-wear. In spite of the sheen, it never looks over the top; rather it gives a nice polished look to the overall makeup. It is a great option if you are looking for something that would give the hint of rose-gold sheen yet look subtle and cute with a simple black kohl on the waterline.
The staying power is great as it stays on my lids without fading or smearing. I have not used it on my waterline considering its color and “sheen.” I had to remove it with an oil-based makeup remover to completely remove it off. It is easy to remove with any makeup remover and there is no residue left on the lids.
Overall, I quite like the idea of shadow sticks that all brands are coming up with these days. This is slightly expensive but this particular shade is unique and one of the best in the entire range. Do check this out if you want add something nice and unique to your collection.
