I am so happy to review today’s product as it is my first IMBB sponsored product. I chose this Colorbar Deep Matte Lip Creme in the shade Deep Rose as I love all things matte and pink. Let’s see whether this is a worthy buy or not.

My take on Colorbar Deep Matte Lip Crème Deep Rouge:

Packaging: Colorbar Matte Lip Creme comes in a transparent chubby tube with a silver cap. The applicator is attached to the cap. This tube comes in trademark Colorbar silver cardboard box. However, the box contains no mention of the ingredient list of the lip crème. The transparent body of the tube makes it easier to recognize the shade as well as quantity of the product left. The shade name and number is mentioned both on the tube as well as outer box. The cap of this lip creme closes securely therefore making it travel-friendly. The lip crème comes with a doe-foot sponge applicator for application.

Shade: Deep Rose, true to its name, is a deep rose pink shade with absolutely no shimmer. It is a lovely rose pink shade that will flatter all skin-tones. The shade can be applied both lightly to give a slight rosy appearance to the lips or can be build for a party look.

Texture: The texture of this lip crème is extremely smooth and creamy. It glides on the lips effortlessly without any tugging or pulling. The formula is like that of a whipped cream and feels extremely light on the lips. It doesn’t settle into fine lines nor does it bleed. It does transfer, especially just after application due to its super-creamy nature. It can emphasise flaky bits so exfoliating the lips before wearing this is advised. The formula is mildly hydrating and thus requires no lip balm underneath the lip crème.

However, it doesn’t settle into a completely matte finish. The finish can at best be said to be creamy matte. But if more of the product is applied, the lip crème does not settle into a matte finish at all.

The applicator picks up a lot of product and the more the crème, the difficult it is to get a matte finish. Hence, I like to wear it by blotting off the excess with a tissue which gives a perfect matte finish to it.

Pigmentation: The pigmentation of this lip creme stands out. One swipe gives ample coverage to the most pigmented of lips. You can take a little product on your fingers and dab it to get that mild rosy colour on the lips. It is a bit difficult to layer it as it tends to get uneven on layering. However, one swipe will give the true colour of the lip crème on the lips.

Lasting Power: Though they claim to last for 8 hours, the wear time is not that long on my lips. It lasted for an average 3.5-4 hours on me. It fades leaving a pinkish stain. However it transfers and hence won’t survive a full meal.

Cons of Colorbar Deep Matte Lip Creme in Deep Rose:

• Transfers.
• Doesn’t set into an absolute matte finish, rather a creamy matte finish.
• Applicator picks up a lot of lip crème.
• Doesn’t last for 8 hours as claimed. Has a staying power of 3.5-4 hours.
• Ingredients not mentioned.

Will I Recommend/ Repurchase Colorbar Deep Matte Lip Crème Deep Rose?
Yes, I would definitely recommend these lip crèmes to everyone. You should definitely get one of these as they are available in a wide selection of shades. I will not get this particular shade again but will try others.
