I wanted to shop for some lip colors for a long time. Finally this weekend , the day came. Shopped for a few Lip colors , which I am gonna review one by one. I bought 2 shades from Colorbar’s new range of matte lip cremes and 2 shades from Rimmel London’s lipstick.
Pink color has been my favourite for quite some time now! The way it adds glamour to your face on a no-make up day is what I am fascinated with! Still have a long way to go in collecting all the shades of Pink!
Today I am going to review Colorbar’s Deep Matte Lip Crème in Deep Pink.Another beautiful pink shade added to my collection! The fact that this is a Matte Lip gloss drew my attention towards this range and then, it is Colorbar; so had to try it for sure.
Price: INR 675 for 6 ml/ 0.20 OZ
Shelf Life: 3 years
Product Description and Claims:
Like any other Colorbar product, this gloss also comes in a silver outer cover with the brand name, shade, Pproduct description and claims printed in black on it. The shade ‘ 007 Deep Pink ‘ is also mentioned on a Pink colored sticker on the smaller flap of the cover.
The gloss comes in a transparent fat tube packaging with the brand name printed on it. The transparent bottle makes it easier to identify the shade as well as the quantity remaining inside. There is no spillage, this makes it very travel-friendly. The applicator is a thin long wand with the doe-foot sponge applicator towards the end which holds the color very nicely.
Deep pink is a beautiful shade which can brighten your face on application. It is a very flowery color and would suit fair to medium skin tone beauties. This is a bright shade and is perfect for daytime as well as night time usage. It is a matte shade with no traces of shimmer or glitter in it. It will definitely draw attention to your lips on a no-makeup day!
Texture and Pigmentation:
Deep Pink Crème has a buttery texture which glides on to the lips very smoothly. It is as creamy as it can get! It keeps my lips moisturized for a long time without making them sticky. It is very lightweight as the product claims.Being creamy, it transfers easily. But there is still enough color on your lips left to take you through the day.Best part is that it doesn’t have any smell/scent to it.
The color payoff is extremely good and this creme is highly pigmented. One swipe gives full coverage. It has an opaque finish which can easily hide pigmented lips. It dries a bit after sometime reducing the transfer rate. The color is quite buildable. You can get a bold lips look with 2 to 3 swipes.
The product claims 8 hours of staying power and this gloss actually stays! Though the color fades a bit after 3-4 hours due to its tranfer-able property; but the color doesn’t vanish. It leaves a beautiful pink stain after 6-7 hours which requires a make up remover to completely take off the color. It can survive drinks and meals through out the day.
