Hope you all had a nice Valentine’s Day Celebration.
Today I am going to review my second Lip Crème from Colorbar in a perfect nude peach and matte shade “Deep Peach”. I got this one along with Deep Pink which I already reviewed last month.I was on a lookout for a peach-ish shade lipstick;then I came across this gloss and thought of giving it a try. Read on about my experience with the product.
Price: INR 675 for 6 ml/ 0.20 OZ
Ingredient List: Not mentioned
This lip gloss comes in the usual silver outer cover packaging of this brand. The brand name, Product Description and Claims are printed in Black on it. The Shade name is mentioned on a peach-colored round sticker at the opening flap of the cover, sticker is color coded which is nice.
The gloss comes in a see-through fat tube packaging and has a silver colored screw cap which tightly fits to avoid any leakage of the product. This makes it very travel-friendly. The transparent tube helps to determine how much product is left. This crème comes with an applicator attached to the cap. It’s a long wand with doe-foot sponge tip.
Deep Peach is a perfect nude color with warm undertones to it. It would look beautiful on fair as well as medium-complexioned beauties;though it would wash out darker complexions. This color is perfect for daily casual wear and it can be used to add some glamour to your face for those evening parties as well. I like to wear it to my office as it brightens up my face without adding any other makeup. It is purely matte with no shimmer particles, but has a soft shine finish to it.
Texture, Pigmentation and Staying Power:
Lip crème has a creamy and buttery texture which is easy to wear and carry. Due to its smooth texture, it transfers a lot and causes the color to start fading away in sometime. It doesn’t hydrate my lips unlike the Lip Crème in Deep Pink which is highly moisturizing.
The color payoff is excellent. It’s an opaque, non-sticky and lightweight gloss. Single swipe gives full coverage to the lips. It will be excellent for pigmented lips and also it can cover minor lip flaws very nicely. It gives a fuller look to my lips. The color takes some time to set. So try and apply a thin coat for it to dry soon and reduce it from transferring to cutlery.
The gloss stays intact for 2-3 hours without eating or drinking anything. It starts fading away after that and color starts settling at the edges of the lips. This is one thing I don’t like about it. It cannot survive heavy meals but would leave a mild peach stain to the lips. So, I need to reapply after 3-4 hours, which I don’t mind as it adds glamour to my face and makes me look fresh.
Pros of Colorbar Deep Peach Matte Lip Creme:
• Beautiful matte shade with no glitter/shimmer
• Creamy texture
• Gives a fuller look to the lips
• Excellent pigmentation and color Pay off
• Moisturizing gloss and does not require a lip balm beneath
• Leaves a mild peach stain
• Opaque and non-sticky
• Does not make my lips dry or flaky
Cons of Colorbar Deep Peach Matte Lip Creme:
• Transfers easily
• Sets in fine lines and the edges of lips
• Low staying power of 3-4 hrs.
