Here is the review of one more shade from the I Glide range of Colorbar, Emerald Charm. I fell in love with the shade the moment I swatched it. Read on to know how it fared for me.
Price – Rs 499/- for 1.1gm
Defines like a pencil and glides like liquid eyeliner. This effortlessly easy to use I-Glide Eye Pencil with its smooth formulation, gives your eyes rich colour in a single stroke and blends in easily after application. Lasts longer than 8 hours; does not feather or bleed.
My Experience with Colorbar Emerald Charm I-Glide Eye Pencil:
The pencil is a sharpen-able one with a color coded base and a plastic cap. The outer silver paper carton has all the required information about the product. The problem I see with the packaging is the cap; a click shut cap would have given the mental satisfaction of carrying it in makeup pouch. Though it has never come off but if it does, it would be a mess.
The texture of the eye pencil is slightly less creamy compared to other pencils from the same range. It does not tug or pull the lid but a creamier texture is possible. The pigmentation is superb. One swipe deposits enough color on the lids for a gorgeous hue to the eye makeup. The tip being small, the pencil has to be sharpened after every use, so, the pencil will get used up soon.
The shade is a gorgeous shade of green with lots of golden shimmer. Applies like one of the most vibrant beautiful shade apt for parties. Once set the shade does not smudge a bit. If you want to go for a smudged look with this, you have to work really fast. Pair it with a muted pink/peach lipstick and you are ready. People who want to jazz up the evening makeup look, this can be your companion.
The staying power is awesome as it does not move once set. The liner stays on for 5 hours minimum without fading at all. After that it starts to fade and wear out. A little touch-up takes care of the issue. Though not a must have but if you are fond of bright bold colored liners, give this one a try. It is not for the weak hearted that is for sure.
One word of caution here, the shimmers will stay back even after the makeup is removed. You have to use an oil
based makeup remover to completely get rid of the shimmers. Thankfully the shimmers do not travel when the liner is on, so this problem can be taken care of while removing the makeup.
Comparison With Colorbar I-Glide Vivid Blue:
Pros of Colorbar Emerald Charm I-Glide Eye Pencil:
• Gorgeous shade.
• Applies smoothly.
• Nice pigmentation.
• No parabens.
Cons of Colorbar Emerald Charm I-Glide Eye Pencil:
• Packaging can be improved.
• Creamier texture expected.
• Shimmers stay back after removing the makeup.
IMBB Rating – 4.25/5
Would I Repurchase/Recommend Colorbar Emerald Charm I-Glide Eye Pencil?
Repurchase – I might not repurchase as I do not wear colored liners that often.
Recommend – If you want a gorgeous green liner for the eyes, give this new shade a try.
