Lovely weather these days. Hope so you people are enjoying it to the fullest, but be careful since this weather change always comes with sickness in some or the other form. It has been so many days I haven’t written a review because I was afflicted with the seasonal sickness. Now I am fine and back with a review on a product I discovered in my mother’s cosmetic box. I find this two in one Colorbar Extra Durable Lip Color very attractive and useful, especially for travelling purpose as it eliminates the need to carry an extra lip gloss. So here’s the review for shade number 001 known as Sauve.
A long lasting and non transferable lip colour.
How to Use:
- Apply a thin even layer of lip colour.
- Wait until dry before applying gloss. Let it set for at least 3 minutes.
- Apply Glossy Top coat.
- Remove with an oil based cleanser.
4.5ml each x2

My Experience with Colorbar Extra Durable Lip Color Sauve:
The lipstick comes with a nice leak proof packaging with one end having lip colour and another end contains gloss. This two in one formulation has a transparent cylindrical tube, which is sturdy and the liquid doesn’t drain even if you open its cap inverted. Liquid lip colour has a soft brush with small bristles, which applies the colour very smoothly on lips. Similarly gloss brush gives an even and soft application.
Sometimes it becomes very tough to identify the exact shade and this is what happened with this lip shade too. After pondering for hours in all types of light I can say that this is a very pretty copper shade with hints of peach and brown, which would suit most of the Indian skin tones. The shade is wearable for all occasions with lots of micro shimmer particles. The colour spreads smoothly and is highly pigmented. It doesn’t dry out my lips, but is not moisturizing either. No colour bleeding or flaking is to be seen and neither settles into fine lines. As said by the company the colour is extra durable. Removal can be easy only using an oil based cleanser as mentioned, otherwise it won’t come out using water or cream based cleansers. It has a long staying power and stays after having food also, but is very slightly transferable.
The gloss disappears after food, but definitely adds a very intense look on lips when applied. I don’t find the gloss heavy or sticky, but is easy and comfortable to carry it. Of course it needs to be re-applied. Overall, I liked this extra durable colour; so now let me summarize the key points of the review.
Pros of Colorbar Extra Durable Lip Color Sauve:
- Long staying power.
- Intensely pigmented.
- Gloss adds a nice sheen to lips.
- Travel friendly combo.

- Doesn’t come off easily.
- Available online and in local stores.
- No bleeding of colour.
- No fine lines settlement.
- Doesn’t flake.
Cons of Colorbar Extra Durable Lip Color Sauve:
- Very slightly transferable.
