My Experience with Colorbar Matte Touch Lipstick Ginger Bread:

Packaging: I love the packaging of Colorbar products and this one is no exception. The outer silver paper carton contains all detailed information on the lipstick. There is a color-coded sticker at one end of the box and at the bottom of the silver metallic tube of the lipstick as well. Though it is color coded, the shade range cannot be determined from the shade of the sticker, so you have to remember the names of the shades. The bullet is angled, like all typical Colorbar lipsticks and the initial uses come very neat with the sharp-edged bullet. The cap shuts with click hence the lipstick is travel friendly.

Shade:  This is a gorgeous shade with equal parts of warm red and brown tones. The other shade that I have from this range (Brunette), has also a hint of red, but “Ginger Bread” is much more reddish and more gorgeous. It brightens my face instantly and you can wear it with any ethnic look. This is a gorgeous colour for brides and newly-married girls who are looking for something other than red. I am in love with this shade and I will wear it a lot in the upcoming wedding season.

Texture:  The texture of the shade is super smooth and glides on the lips like butter. Though it is categorized as matte, the application is super creamy. After a while, the color settles to a matte moist lip color. The shade is so pigmented that one swipe covers my pigmented lips well. If you want to intensify the look, you may use two swipes. It makes my lips soft. If you do not have dryness issue, then you can skip a lip balm beneath this lipstick. It leaves the lips soft and moist, even after the color has faded away.

Staying Power: Without any lip liner or base, it stays on for 4-5 hours. It is not a dry matte lipstick, but a creamy matte one, so the color fades away when I eat or drink something. However, the fading is even and it leaves a reddish brown stain behind. The stain looks good and I do not have any issue with it.

Overall, I am super happy with this colour. I expected the staying power to be longer but I won’t mind reapplying this lipstick.
