How are you all, today I am here with the famous lipstick range that flooded IMBB in the past days, I took a clever chance to add my name in that list too. I shopped from Colorbar Cosmetics directly inspired by Neha Maam. The name is funny ‘Pinking’. This is my second review from the brand Colorbar. So do read further.

Product Description:– It features the glamorous properties of a matte lipstick with valvety finish which will make you fall in love. This amazing lipstick has intense color that is creamy, soft and glides smoothly on application simply moisturizing and incredibly wearable yet absolutely matte.

Application: Line the lips with a suitable lip liner. Press the bullet to the lips using even pressure to apply color on both upper and lower lips: To refresh and even out, press lips together. Using a lip brush gives a richer and more precise color application.

Packaging: The packaging is simple yet nice, there are a few changes in the packaging, it comes in a silver colored outer pack with the branding and ingredients written on it. It has a color code sticker at the top of it, and the body is totally silver metallic, again with a color code sticker on the base. The click lock cap doesn’t come off easily. I loved the two sided tapered shape of the bullet, the shape even eases the application in the edges of lips.

My Experience with Colorbar Matte Touch Lipstick Pinking

Color, Texture & Pigmentation: The shade Pinking is a bubblegum pink with very light hint of coral in it and very less concentrated silver shimmers in it. The shimmers are not gritty in it, and is not much visible on lips. It’s a kind of mixture of pink, coral & some mauvish touch in it, though it’s a warm toned to pink, it can wash out dusky skin tones, because of a silver kind of sheen in the lipstick. But I can proudly say I had choose such a beautiful shade in my life with online shopping.

*happy dance*, This is such a feminine shade, an everyday wearable shade for summers (it has sun protection too), it makes a perfect shade for me and will make fair to medium skin tone beauties look so awesome. I am just falling badly for this shade.

The texture is like that 9 to 5 matte lipsticks, which looks matte but gives that creamy feel on lips, it doesn’t set or dry up to a matte finish. It doesn’t feel heavy on lips. Well I won’t call it a super duper creamy matte lipstick, but it still gives a creamy feel on the lips for an hour or so. After that, the lipstick starts to feel like a powdery matte lipstick. Dry lip beauties can skip this collection.

The pigmentation is awesome, it covers my not so pigmented lips in just 1 swipe. I totally agree with Neha’s review, that though it’s pigmented the opacity/ thickness of the lipstick is not that great. I can still see some of the dark patches on my lips whenever I smile. So it doesn’t go opaque in 1 or 2 swipes, more than 2 swipes will be needed to attain the opacity.

Staying Power:- The lipstick stays puts on me for a long time like 4 hours, it has the tendency of staining which lasts for more than an hour or two. It’s better than completely having bare lips after a beautiful pink lipstick goes off *hihi*.

• Has a creamy- powdery matte formula
• Good Pigmentation, covers pigmented lips in 1 swipe
• Sturdy and nice packaging
• Claims of sun protection
• Doesn’t feel heavy on lips
• Doesn’t bleed
• Doesn’t transfer because of the dry matte texture.
• Stays for a good 3- 4 hours without much fading, survives light meals
• Stain lasts for 1- 1.5 hours after the lipstick is gone

Cons of Colorbar Matte Touch Lipstick Pinking

• The lipstick does feel creamy for an hour but after that starts feeling too dry on lips, it can be okay for normal lips, but dry lip beauties would not feel comfortable.
• Opacity or thickness is not that great, you can say it has a sheer kind of coverage.
• Does settles in fine lines
• After a heavy meal, fades very unevenly, because of the dry matte texture.
• Can exaggerate dry and flaky lips. Be sure to exfoliate your lips before applying.
• Some may not like the staining tendency.

Recommendation on Colorbar Matte Touch Lipstick Pinking:- No, if you have chronically dry lips, you can skip this matte collection, but those who have normal lips can surely try this shade once.

Last Word on Colorbar Matte Touch Lipstick Pinking: It a nice lipstick with a very nice staying power and very wide range of feminine shades, which will look fabulous on Indian skin tones, despite of that powdery matte texture and not so good moisturisation overall, it proved to be a good lipstick.
