IMBB is the place from where I discovered my love and passion for makeup. It feels so amazing and blessed to be associated with such a place. Now writing, makeup and IMBB have become my addiction. I am so much obsessed with lipsticks. Here comes another lip crayon from my stash. I am reviewing Colorbar Take Me As I Am Lip Color in the “Orchid Pink.” I really wonder how such beautiful pink has not been reviewed yet. Read on further for more details.

My Experience with Colorbar Orchid Pink Take Me As I Am Lip Color:

The lip color comes in a jumbo sharpen-able wooden lip pencil housed in a metallic mirror finished outer cardboard packaging, which bears all the product details like ingredients list, shade name, etc. The jumbo lip pencil is black in color with a color-coded base. This pencil has a big glossy black plastic cap, which fits very securely and does not come off while carrying around. The pencil is easy to accommodate in my makeup pouch, but the wooden part around the pencil gets a little dirty while applying the lip color. I would like to thank Colorbar wholeheartedly for giving a free sharpener with this pencil. Overall, the pencil is quite chubby and I really loved it.

The shade “Orchid Pink” is a gorgeous cool-toned pink. The shade “Orchid Pink” is a lovely Barbie pink shade. Going out of my comfort zone, I have chosen this bright pink for me and I really love the color and finish. The shade is way too bright and will exclusively suit fairer skin tones. It instantly perks up my complexion, but I cannot go bare face with this lipstick. I do need to create a proper base makeup to flatter this color. This lipstick is free from any shimmers or glitter and sets to a nice velvety finish.

The pigmentation of this lip crayon is awesome. The lip color needs one even swipe for full opaque coverage. The second swipe gives an intense & even finish. It helps to hide those pigmented lips pretty well. So, layering is not required as the colour builds up easily with one swipe.  At times, I do blot it out to get a lip stain-like finish.

The texture is super creamy and almost buttery. It glides effortlessly without dragging on the lips. The texture is very creamy and sets to a velvety matte finish after a few hours of application. The formula is nice and moisturizing. It does not dry out my lips, but the color easily clings to the dry patches, so prepping prior to application is necessary. The creaminess of the lip color leads causes the color to transfer.

This lipstick lasts for more than 6 hours on my lips. It does survive light meals with a little fading from the inner corners of the lips, but the lip color stains my lips badly, so I need a good makeup remover to take it off. Overall, I am really very happy with this lip color.
