When the entire international cosmetic brands are launching one eyeshadow palette after the other, Colorbar silently drops three small smokey palettes in the market with comparatively very less drama and media coverage. A very dear friend of mine has an eyeshadow palette from Colorbar which was a limited edition product and as much I tried, I didn’t get my hands on it. So when I saw these palettes, I had to buy them. I wouldn’t have been able to live with the loss of not buying a palette from Colorbar if I would have missed these. Well, I have created more drama than the brand itself, let’s get into the review straight. I picked up two variants “Party All Nite” and “Hook Me Up.” I will be reviewing “Party All Nite” today.

My Take on Colorbar Party All Nite Eyeshadow Palette:
Like I said, I was looking out for Colorbar eyeshadow palette as some old discontinued ones were really good. This one (Party All Nite), to be true, wasn’t at par with what I have already seen from the brand. It gives a total of 7 colors which are perfect to achieve a smoky eye for a party night with a pop of color. I will call this palette a blue-green based color collection.
Talking about the packaging, it’s a classical Colorbar silver box. Inside, there is another cover for palette protection, with a kind of texture from to prevent scratches. Then comes the glossy black palette, plastic is sturdy and high quality. Actual shadow pots are again protected by a thin plastic sheet .. phew! The palette has a decent-sized mirror but there’s no brush.
The texture of the shadows is on the creamy side and less powdery. Some shadows are powdery and pigmentation is quite above average. A primer is a must, otherwise the actual colors will not show up much. Describing each shade one by one:
1. Sorry, I am starting with the least impressive color from the palette. It has no pigmentation whatsoever, just shimmer. Can be used for brow bone highlight or even normal highlight if you do not have problems with glitters.
2. This is such a perfect transition shade for the eyes. I will call this a pink with orangey undertones. It is creamy yet it has some fallout.
3. This is a pink with red undertones. It’s perfect with (#2 shade) to achieve a shaded look on eyes. This one is creamier than (#2 shade) but again has some fall out.
4. This is a sea green color with less pigmentation. I expected this color to perform better on skin but it did not. It also has fallout, so not a great selection here.
5. This is a turquoise blue color and my main reason to pick this palette. I wanted a bright blue shade like that they have in Jacklyn Morphe palette. This has great pigmentation and least fall out compared to all the colors.
6. This is a khakhi green which is not pigmented at all. If you see the swatches, the impact is very disappointing. It also has immense fallout.
7. The darkest color of the lot. This is a black shade with glitters in it. Since the palette is party oriented, I thing that is main reason to make this shade glittery, but personally, I don’t like glitters. This is also the one with a lot of fallout, so use it carefully gals!
This palette has no bothersome smell.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Colorbar Party All Nite Eyeshadow Palette?
I will suggest you to pass this one unless you have a very particular reason to buy this palette. I will not repurchase it again but will definitely try other variants.
