Rs. 180/- for 2.5 ml of product when I got it. I believe its for 225 INR now.

What it Claims:

Available in three shades, Black , Brown and Blue, the Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner is long-lasting and does not smudge, crack, flake or peel. With its high definition flexible felt-tip applicator, one stroke is enough to define a fine or thick line. Fast drying, Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner is suitable for sensitive eyes and those who wear contact lenses too!

My Experience with Colorbar Precision Waterproof Eyeliner:

I have had this with me for more than a year now, but never really got into using it. Now, after almost a year, I keep reaching for this more than ever, hence the review.

It comes in a tiny plastic blue bottle with a felt-tip applicator. The shade is a rich indigo to be precise, but when applied on the eyes, it looks almost black. You can still make out the difference if you really focus on it.

Here is the swatch on my hand.

To test the waterproof tag, I put some water on it and tried to smudge it, but to my surprise, it didn’t budge. It stays on the eyes for as long as it’s not removed by a makeup remover.

smudgeproof eyeliner

The felt-tip applicator is an okay-okay type.  It is pointed at the tip, but still I find it really difficult to get a thin line with this.  The liquid itself dries very fast, so you have to be really careful while applying this. The same thing is a boon when I think of the lines I get on the upper lid with slow drying liners.

Coming straight to the things I like or don’t like about this.

  • A nice indigo shade which you can wear anytime without bothering about it looking over the top.
  • Dries to a matte finish.
  • Smudge proof, stays on and on until you remove it with a cleanser.
  • Dries in a jiffy, so you don’t have to wait for it to dry or get the upper lid lined.
  • Pigmentation is really good.
  • Reasonably priced.

  • Unlike in mentioned in the site, it stings the eyes, well, actually it’s a bit weird.  Sometimes, it stings and sometimes it does not.
  • No ingredients mentioned anywhere.
  • Somehow, I find the felt-tip applicator weird and difficult to line with.
  • Plastic packaging is really cheap. The print on my bottle has vanished long back.

This is how it looks on my eyes.

My Rating:

3.5 out of 5.

Will I Repurchase?

No. Not because I don’t like this, but because I am so much into the pencil liners these days. Want to try so many of them. If someday I want to buy a liquid liner, then it is definitely going to be one of these.

Final Word:

For all you ladies who still like the conventional liquid eye liners, it’s a great buy. All the 3 shades available are definitely wearable without giving a lot of thought over it. I’ll suggest do give this a try.
