It is a wonder how Colorbar has evolved over the years. They have their own range of professional brushes, which in my opinion, are quite highly priced. Colorbar has some makeup stuff that cannot be called “drugstore” any more. I recently spent a pocketful on their products and this brush was one such purchase.
A classic brush which helps in the application and setting of concealers.
My Experience with Colorbar Pro Concealer Brush:
This brush is a dupe for the Sigma E25. I say so with confidence as I own a miniature Sigma E25 like you can see in the pictures. This Colorbar concealer brush comes in the same size, color, and the bristles look the same as Sigma one. I cannot comment if it looks like a MAC dupe as well, because I don’t really own similar brushes from MAC.
This brush from Colorbar is perfect to apply liquid concealers. This brush places and blends the under-eye concealer well. This goes well in a wiper motion, to blend the concealer under the eyes. It reaches the under-eye bags well. You can use the same brush well for setting powder under the eyes too. I like it with my LA Girl Pro Concealer.
If you use a creamy concealer, I notice the brush seems to suck up the product a lot. I like to use gentle motions to blend with softer creamy products. For stick concealers, I don’t think this is going to work.
The bristles stain a bit. You need to take time to wash it off.
The bristles do not shed, I had no problem with reshaping the bristles either. The only difference between the Sigma one and this is the bristles softness. The Colorbar pro concealer brush bristles could have been softer. I quite like the body of the brush as well.
Pros of Colorbar Pro Concealer Brush:
- Works well with concealers that are soft to blend.
- Good quality bristles and body of the brush.
- Does not shed, no trouble in reshaping the bristles as well.
Cons of Colorbar Pro Concealer Brush:
- Bristles could have been softer.
- Stains a bit, takes time to wash it off.
Would I Repurchase/Recommend Colorbar Pro Concealer Brush?
I do recommend it as there is dearth of similar brushes in the Indian market. This will be cheaper than MAC but Sigma E25 will be a better bet. Overall, it is a good brush by an Indian brand, to blend out concealers.
