My Views After Using the Colorbar Compact:

I went in search for the new lip pots and pot concealer to the Colorbar counter in Hyderabad Central some 25 kms from my home and I was so happy to see a 15% discount because of the usual sale season, but to my utter disappointment, the SAs at the counter have never even heard of the new launches and they just had the usual stuff, that too half of it out of stock :scream: and yes, Colorbar have also hiked the prices of its bestsellers, they all cost around 50/- more than the old prices. :reallyangry:

So, I thought of at least buying something than coming back all empty handed and I asked them to show me their usual compact as my Revlon Touch and Glow compact is about to get over. The SA swiped shade #1 and 2 on my hand and I preferred the #2 shell to be more compatible with my skin tone and I ended up buying it at 15% off.

Packaging:

Colorbar Radiant White UV Fairness Compact Powder comes in a round plastic container in creamy color base and top with mirror and applicator packed in creamy color decorated carton. The packaging is pretty and sturdy.

Fourth

Fifth

What I liked best about this compact is that it is a true match to my skin tone. It’s so light that it gives a feeling of having applied actually nothing on the face, but still, it does lives up to its claim of a fairness compact as it does brightens up my face on application. Do not confuse it turning you into snow white, but yes, imagine your face to be more bright and turning a little light after applying this compact.

The other good points include the price which is quite reasonable for the amount of product provided. The applicator is puff based and is soft to feel and not scratchy at all. The amount of compact used per application is less as compared to my Revlon one as the sponge applicator in there takes much more product in one swipe than the one provided with the colorbar compact, so it is going to last me longer than my former.

Sixth

The applicator provided:

The not-so-great points about this compact would be the coverage it provides. This compact just gives a light-to-light medium coverage, so one has to use a concealer to hide the facial marks, but on top of your regular foundation, it will work great and you can move around in the sun too with no touch ups up to 3 hours. I have used it on normal days just on top of my daily day crème and it stays on pretty long and I can see its effects for 4 hours or more easily, no oily T-zone observed.

Pros of the Colorbar Radiant White UV fairness Compact:

• Does provide radiance to the face making the skin bright and light.
• Lightweight and gives an impression of having applied nothing on the face.
• Effect can be seen for 3-4 hours easily without any touch-ups.
• Controls sweat and no oily T-zone seen even after hours of application.
• Soft to feel puff provided for application.
• Has SPF 15.
• Gives a matte smooth finish.
• Quite less product used up at one go so compact would last for long.
• Quite decently priced.
• 5 shades to choose from that would match most skin tones.
• Sturdy and classic packaging.

Cons of the Colorbar Radiant White UV fairness Compact:

• Provides light coverage, so would not conceal any facial marks.
• Although the applicator provided is soft, yet I find it a little stiff, so prefer my powder brush over the puff provided.

IMBB Rating:

3.85/5.

Do I Recommend:

Yes, if you are looking for a light daily wear compact that provides little radiance too and has SPF, then it is surely a must-buy among the other radiance compacts available.
