The word “matte” and “powder” are enough for any girl with oily skin in summers to go “gaga.” I spotted this new translucent powder from Colorbar and had to give it a try. This comes in just one shade and calls itself translucent. This is a nice loose powder to set makeup and mattify skin in one go, without adding any more color on the face. Read on more details:

My Experience with Colorbar Sheer Touch Mattifying Face Powder:
Initially, I thought this would be a silicone-based HD powder like NYX, thank goodness it is not. This is more like a light sheer talcum powder without feeling much like talcum. It feels like a light veil, like they claim, and it does mattify instantly. It also slightly works together with your foundation to blur pores to perfection.
It is like second skin and it just needs to be dusted gently. Do not try to layer it over in a thick layer as it will appear white. I think it best works when pressed lightly to set makeup or dust with a bigger powder brush to mattify skin. I am happy with all the claims they made, this product is true to the claims of oily skin. The “delicate sparkle” claim is beyond me though, there is not sparkle or shimmer to the product.
On my oily skin, in this summer, it manages to keep my skin matte for 3 plus hours, which is a wonder. It keeps foundation in place slightly longer and can be used lightly for baking as well. Overall, for the cost I am happy with the product.
We have to take a moment here to appreciate the packaging of the product. Very thoughtfully, they have made a rotating disc inside to lock the powder dispensing holes in place. You can twist and seal your product and toss in the bag, this will never leak. I could never take my HD powders around, but this one is brilliant. I will transfer more loose powder into it when this finishes. I love the mirror effect cap of the tub too, brilliant packaging.

- The only con is that if you build it up, this can look whitish.
- They could have given a puff inside.
- This is not a silicone HD powder, keep that in mind.
