After liking my M&S royal jelly night cream, I used this Colorbar cream loyally for more than two weeks.Sometimes I even used it to soothe any dry skin as my skin is adjusting(very happily) to the dry climate here in Pune as opposed to Chennai. My skin type is oily, it is acne prone in humid weather, I am 29 and a mom of a pre-schooler and I sit on the laptop for my IMBB. These details are enough for any one to tell you that it is my skin’s need to use a night cream religiously.Hence when this one claimed beauty sleep, I had to get it. Also my skin not so oily anymore, with age and climate I am liking slightly greasy things too.

We need a night cream so thar when we sleep, the night cream repairs the damaged of the day. I always motice how after a restful sleep our pores look smaller, skin looks softer and brighter (don’t mind the puffy eyes) I have been using night cream religiously after cleansing and toning. I apply very small amount on the clean palms ( I am kinds OCD about only clean hands touching my face) Then I apply it in upward and outward motion. This cream is aborbed very well, leaving a slight layer of grease which dry skin and normal skin would actually love. For me, I feel happy that this will be working overnight. When I wake up there is no oil or grease( that is why I change pillow case daily, due to acne-phobia) my skin looks even toned, brighter and no oily patches.I do not have wrinkles so cannot comment on that.

The best part about this cream is that it really softens the skin instantly. As soon as you apply it, with the moisture layer, you can feel your skin is touchable soft. In the morning, the pigmentation looks even and skin looks brighter, and softer.

the cream claims to be paraben, sulphate artificial color and cruelty free :). It is quite calming and mild.

The texture is very smooth, but not oily or greasy. You can say it has the right amount of oil and water proportions. Another great thing is that it is very gentle, it did not irritate my sensitive skin at all like creams with sun protection factors do. Hence sometimes I apply it when I want to calm my skin down.

I recommend this night cream to normal and combination skin. Oily but in the late twenties without acne can try it like me.It has right amount of hydration and oil factor, skin is toned like it claims, brighter, even toned. It is not miraculous but yes it delivers what I expected.I think it on the steep side. 950 for a night cream is on the higher side, also the content is very less. The tub is cute looking but I supose it holds quite a small amount in it.

Dry skin might need to slather it on and on.Hence this is great for normal and combo skin.I apply quite a small amount, but still get tempted to slather more, it absorbs well. It did not block pores or break me out yet.I think it will not.

  1. Seems to be good product 🙂 but bit pricey. *silence* I have used many pricey product but none works for me. not even Vichy and Kaya. After marriage my skin is not at all doing good *cry* *cry* *cry* No glow and very very dull.

Can you tell me any good day and night cream which is highly beneficial and comes under 500Rs? Plssss *puchhi* *puchhi*

    1. Neha, I can understand your plight.
I would suggest go for lotus whiteglow microemulsion for the day time and nutrinite night creme for the night.
I’m using it and it’s working for me.

    2. Olay natural white night creme (but reportedly it contains mercury), himalaya night creme, oriflame even out night creme is costlier at 700, but results are good.
