Colorbar Soft Touch Lipstick: Amber

colorbar soft touch lipstick amber
My love for lipsticks doesn’t fade. Just as I started to write my review on soft touch citrine I saw it being reviewed on imbb, suggesting our love for lipsticks is mutual πŸ˜› So then I changed the title and put in amber, as there is no dearth of lipsticks to be reviewed in my box, fridge, things to be reviewed box πŸ˜›

As for this range, my friend in Delhi has been raving about the citrine one since ages, I tried very hard to find it everywhere but finally ordered it online along with amber, 325 rupees each

These lipsticks are new addition to Colorbar, as they came up with 6 new shades which I plan to review soon, all 5 of them remaining. Why my love for soft touch is on its peak is that the quality on the velvet matte has gone to the dogs, I have been using them for the past 5 years and now they stain a cheap hot pink and I hate them to the core, even though I have some 6 more in my kitty to be reviewed for you all which I bought for the sole purpose of reviewing only.

I have fallen in love with soft touch all over again. I love the texture, smooth creamy pigmented, neither too thick nor too light but just perfect highly pigmented and perfect color in just one swipe each time. Why I love this shade is that this is very close to Colorbar velvet matte and since the quality and formula on the new velvet matte has changed, I am thankful that soft touch still remains the same.

The lipstick is very soft and has to be stored in a cool place or else it might sweat. It might be prone to be breaking as well. Otherwise, it’s creamy luscious soft pigmented and over all a beautiful nude shade, I cant pinpoint whether its peachy or pinky nude but it is nevertheless gorgeous.

Thankfully these don’t stain and fade away nicely because they go medium in texture onto the lips and do not set but stay moisturised all throughout. I would say its fine on the lasting power too considering its soft texture, aptly named soft touch

Apart from this I have always loved the sexy mirror finish packing on these soft touch lippies. I have seen Colorbar grow for the past so many years since they launched in India and thankfully these soft touch ones still remain the same and very reasonably priced at 325 considering how Colorbar has been hiking the rates off late. I bought my first velvet matte with top notch quality for rupees 75 or 90 and that’s where it all started.

Last word:
I recommend soft touch to all of you considering velvet mate stain like crazy. These are soft, moisturising and have some great shades to check out. As for this one, this is a gorgeous nude for me.

I’m trying to get the remaining new launch shades to review for you gals. πŸ™‚

Rating: 4.7 on 5(some of you may need more lasting power though)
