Today, I am going to review a lipstick which I am currently loving the most. I have been fairly satisfied by the “Soft Touch” range of Colorbar Lipsticks and this time when I went to shop, I couldn’t resist picking this beauty. Let me make a detailed review of the same.
Product Being Reviewed:
Colorbar Soft Touch Lipstick.
Give your lips a soft and smooth look with the Soft Touch Lipstick. Its rich creamy formula enhances the lips, while keeping them moisturised and nourished. With Vitamin A and E and apricot oil, the Soft Touch Lipstick has anti-aging properties that protect the lips from chapping and discolouration. With a unique fig fragrance, the Soft Touch Lipstick is available in 30 classy shades.
INR 350 for 4.5 gms. It comes in a classy silver lipstick case. The look as such is very appealing but not very user friendly because one needs to remember the shade and the corresponding number. I prefer transparent caps to these opaque ones. Nevertheless, I find the packaging classy because of the metallic finish.
My Take on Colorbar Soft Touch Lipstick in Clyspo:
I have mentioned at the start of the review that I love the “Soft Touch” range of Colorbar. In fact, there was a time when I owned lipsticks only from this range, though that is a different story. Moving back to the shade, it is a beautiful peach-pink shade. Please note that the shade by this number on the official website is a deep mauve shade and the actual shade in real is quite different. It brightens up my face instantly in the true sense of the word. The application is very true to its name (Soft Touch) and is velvety soft and creamy. It does not settle into the fine lines and is highly pigmented. One stroke gives you the desired colour.
The only problem is that of staying power; not that the staying power is bad, but with all qualities, I would expect it to stay a little longer than 2-3 hours sans meals. Also, it is not hydrating enough. It is not very moisturising , a lip balm underneath shall be just fine. It brings a nice glossy sheen to the lips. Once it fades, it leaves a nice rosey tint on the lips.
Summing the pros and cons:
Pros of Colorbar Soft Touch Lipstick in Clyspo:
- Soft creamy lipstick which glides on smoothly.
- Highly pigmented.
- Texture is creamy and glides smoothly on the lips.
- Does not bleed or accentuate the fine lines.
Cons of Colorbar Soft Touch Lipstick in Clyspo:
- Packaging could be worked upon, as in a transparent or a see-through top would be better to locate the shade.
- A lip balm underneath shall make it more hydrating.
- Staying power is around 2-3 hours which is a con considering we have lipsticks which stay for 4-5 hours and survive full meals.
Do I Recommend Colorbar Soft Touch Lipstick in Clyspo?
Yes, despite a few cons listed above, I shall strongly recommend each one of you to get at least one of the shades from this range.
