Colored mascara is something new to me as I have rarely played with them. I picked the newly launched colored mascaras from Colorbar and here are my thoughts on the shade Starry Mauve.

My Experience with Colorbar Starry Mauve Starry Eye Mascara:

The packaging is simple yet functional. The body is transparent and hence the color of the mascara can be seen and identified in the stash if you own more than one from the range. The outer paper carton is silver in color with all the details mentioned on it; typically Colorbar. The shade name and number us mentioned at the base of the mascara.

The texture of the mascara is unlike the regular ones available in the market. It is way too creamy for my liking as it takes considerable amount of time to dry up completely. If the second coat goes on before the first dries up then it leads to the undesired clumpy look. On the other hand, being creamy in texture, the mascara goes on nice and smooth on the lashes; additional thanks to the soft bristles which do not poke the eyes.

The color is gorgeous and beautiful. It is not stark yet pretty unique and nice to add the hint of color to the eyes. You can completely ignore the rest of the eye makeup and just apply the mascara for a nice subtle look to the eyes. If you are a makeup lover then this is a good one to add to your stash of eye makeup products.

The staying power is pretty good; it does not crumble or feather at all. It stays nicely put as long you do not rub your eyes. It comes off well only with an oil based makeup remover or cleansing oil, so it is good for long-wear.
Overall a good addition to the already huge line of Colorbar products but I would not repurchase it as it is not an everyday wear for me.
