Colorbar has gained a lot of popularity in India as their products are available almost with all the local vendors and online sites. I usually buy lipsticks and blushes from this brand. Colorbar has 18 different shades under “Take Me As I Am” range and today, I’m reviewing the shade “Pink Whisper”. So, let’s get started.
Price: Rs. 900 for 3.94gm.

Take me as I am lip color is a unique multi-functional product which provides the application of a lipstick combined with the convenience of a pencil in a jumbo crayon design. It is an extra creamy and soft feeling lipstick formula with excellent color payoff and coverage. Viscous oils and esters create the beautiful shine. Skin conditioning ingredients like Shea butter and vitamin E further enhance the comfortable wearing properties.
My Experience with Colorbar Take Me As I Am Lip Color – Pink Whisper:
The Colorbar Take Me As I Am Lip Color comes in a jumbo sharpenable wooden pencil form with a black plastic cap. You also get a complimentary sharpener along with the purchase. You can easily spot this product from the stash because the band reflects the shade of the lipstick. Overall, there are no faults with the packaging apart from the wastage caused by the frequent sharpening of the pencil.
The shade “Pink Whisper” is a neutral pink color. I’m not very impressed with this shade, although it adds a subtle glow to my face. The color is more of a daily wear shade. Also, this light pink color is not versatile and will not suit women with dusky/deeper skin tones. The lipstick keeps my lips moisturised and smooth because of which I don’t use a lip balm underneath. The lipstick is buttery smooth in texture; it provides a glossy matte finish to the lips. The pigmentation of this lipstick is quite impressive. It provides an opaque coverage in a single swipe.
“Pink Whisper” will look best on women with thin lips because it has the tendency to add a plumping effect to your lips. The texture of this lip color is light and creamy. It isn’t completely a transfer proof lipstick, but it has a good staying power of around 3 hours. It does survive light meals with a little fading from the inner corners of the lips. Also, it doesn’t look patchy or flaky on the lips. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase.

- Needs reapplication after every 3 hours.
- Often requires sharpening, leading to wastage of product.
- Not recommended for women with deep/dusky skin tone.
- Good for women with thin lips.
